What a brilliant game on the weekend, But athelstone have afew concerns with injuries. I still recon you be better of playing pembroke in the grandfinal to better your chances.

From the Raggies perspective we would prefer to play Payneham NU...

What are you on about blublurag - athelstone's B grade will belt salisbury by 10-15 goals....... i hope salisbury enjoyed there celebration last week at torrens oval because the way you celebrating all standing around in a huge circle singing the club song miles well of been your grandfianl.

My tip on sat - PNU Vs Pembroke

Because its played on a big ground & pembroke love to run I recon pembroke by 3-4goals. Pembroke will be more prepared for PNU aggressive attack at the ball this time.......
I wish both clubs all the best for the GF.

Mate, our blokes finished 4th cos they lost their last 6 in the minor round, so they've really played three grand finals in three weeks. Beat Eastern Park by 5 points, PAOC by a few goals and the Walkies last week, so I don't know how accurate that statement is. And if you just won a preliminary final on the siren, wouldn't you celebrate a bit too?

3% went for Payneham NU, which means 97% were wrong. Well done to Garry McIntosh, Scott Darrington and the boys, they've had a wonderful past couple of seasons.

Well Well Well...... wasnt i wrong.... & salisbury proved me wrong... What a great display of football between athelstone & salisbury. I will give credit, where credit is due & a big congratulations to the salisbury boys they put on a great fight, especially to hold on & win by 3 points. That was athelstone's strongest side & to lose the grandfinal was disappointing... What a wasted year for the Raggies for the A's & B's.

To make things worst hows my prediction with PNU & Pembroke - Payneham just stuck at it & at it & refused to lay down. Congratulations to Macca & his boys for winning the G/f & all the best for Div 2 next year....

Top notch game in the B grade, full credit to Athelstone for the contest, although I know they'll be disappointed with having 2 minor premierships and no flags to show for their effort.

Our boys were awesome, and like Athelstone, it helped to have a full-side to pick, besides a broken hand last week. A bloke named Matty Hargreaves kept Chase McPeake goalless all day which was probably what won us the game.

Didn't sstay around for the whole A grade game, but congrats to Lisa and Payneham. I told her before the game I was picking Payneham, and she thought I'd put the kiss of death out, but well done to Tyson and Macca and the lads. Just quietly, what a year for Tyson Burrows. McKay Medal, I'm assuming a club B&F, and premiership captain. Can't ask for any more than that I wouldn't have thought.

Oh Lisa, just make sure you get your medallion this year...

I've been moping about the house for a couple of days, still devastated that our year came to nothing.

Congrats to FC (PNU) and Pag (Salisbury), well done. Hope the celebrations are well and truly still going.

I don't want to sound like a whinger but I was amazaed at the umpiring performance in the B's last weekend. Still can't comprehend it. Why did we get treated as if we were the new Salisbury West. Blokes were copping 25's for saying 'Oh no' to themselves. There would have been more than 20 25's given. We'd cop a 25 even if we had a funny look on our face.

To top it all off, in the last 2 minutes of the game in our forward line and only 3 points down, at a ball up the umpire bounced it. Neither ruckman got to it as it barely went above head height. When the umpire was questioned why, he said 'I had to get one in for the year'. Can you believe that.

Next time the SAAFL should appoint umpires that are going to pay the respect to the game that it deserves. After all, the Clubs and players have been working for this day for 8-9 months. Why should inconsiderate arrogant umpires ruin the day for all concerned.

Anyway, I had to say something to try and ease my pain, but I probaly just sound like a whinger.

Did you notice blublurag last saturday in the B grade grandfinal that the short umpire with the white hat is the same guy that umpired the athelstone vs pembroke game the week before & even then he was a cheating b*stard. - the A's lost, fair enough & so did the B's but i absolutely agree with you when players put in for the entire year to get to the grandfinal & you get clowns as umpires umpiring the game.. Im sure we are not the only ppl annoyed at the umpiring this year & it seriously needs to be looked at... its just not the div 3 league affected its happening in all grades.. Then again what do u expect from Ameature footy.

And he umpired the week before against PNU, didn't do us any favours that day either. How the hell does a Club get the same umpire 3 weeks in a row?

We've had old Ken Downe 8 times this season in the A Grade, even after we approached the league and asked to not have him. They were a joyous 8 weeks for all concerned...

Yes, Ken isn't the greatest. He must live around the corner.

Noticed on Grassroots footage he was doing Div 7 Grand Final.
