Gepps to beat T T Gully at Thebby, if it was at Gullies Oval i would have tipped them but a bigger & firm deck will suit the Rams.11-20

Henley to win a final this week finally, they should account for the Saints easily. 31-40

Henley i think have beaten Goodwood both times this year so they do have the wood on them of late.
Be interesting to see if Shark Park is a bog hole or not for 2mrw.
The Henley eagles oops sorry i mean Sharks should win easy!

the henley goodwood game should be an absolute cracker. have had some great battles over the last 2 years. haven't seen either of them play this year, but based on what goodies have done over the last 5 years, combined with what henley have promised this year (and last year too up until they got their injuries), it'll be a close one for sure. henleys finals history is terrible over the last 4 years, but i do rate them slightly higher than goodies (but still they are both a cut above the rest).
tip- henley by 2 goals.

Well done to the Gullies on their win today, a lot more desire and hardness at the footy was fairly obvious and the 5 goal start was very helpful. Unfortunately the wrong Gepps team turned up today, looked hesitant and slow and made many skill errors and kicking for goal was terrible. A long preseason awaits them and a key forward should be very high on the list of recruiting priorities, what they currently have is not good enough on a consistent basis.

On another subject, it appears the League hasn't learnt from last years finals series when the catering at Thebby was a disaster, today didn't auger well for the next couple of matches unless they make some drastic improvements.
Ran out of Light beer, bread for the barby and all before the start of the A grade game at 2.30. Only had 1 booth open for drink sales and not enough people serving was another obvious improvement they can make.
That's not bad for a start.

Ace, have to agree with you on the catering .
WTF , the people running SAAFL do a good job running a football league but know f##k all about catering.
only two outlets for BBQ, bar and canteen what a joke
any weekend at most clubs would have all these as a seperate function and running very well [cos they realise that's where the $$$ come from ]
any club in any div would have welcomed an expected crowd like this and prepared accordingly but unfortunatley the SAAFL expect the punters to pay their 'hard earned' and be treated like crap.
last SAAFL final that i attend if the "powers that be" are "running" the show
P.S i think you have glossed over a lot of things lacking in GX's game [ not taking away anything from TTG, who as you said, deserved their win today ]

Light beer ???? ;) C'mon.....
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Mock the idea if you wish, however being so good at putting forward the TOTAL package to clubs on all things football, the league has a responsibility under the "Responsible service of alcohol" code to provide for all people, not just those who drink full strength beer. It also is costing itself and in turn the clubs within their league a fair sum of money in profit due to lost sales. In my group alone yesterday, six of us who only drink "Light" but plenty of it, we would have normally spent $50 minimum each so they missed out on $300 from us alone, profit on that a minimum of $150.00.
I can only ask this, is that a good way to run a business? I think not!
If they can't do it properly, get someone who can, for God's sake!

I couldn't believe it when i was told Henley got beaten at home WTF
I noticed their great B grade side got done aswell.
Will Henley get the home final this week v T T Gully or will the League schedule the game for Theberton oval?
Promises to be a rip snorta this weeks game, i may even show my face only if its at Henley's ground as i do love a beer & steak sanga while i'm watching the A grade, by the sounds of it the Amateur League still can't get it right at Thebby as far as caterings concerned so if the games at Thebby we should be allowed to take our own eskies & food in, especially if the League can't provide us with our essentials.

i ventured down to the henley goodwood game, was an absolute cracker of a game, when henley hit the front late in the third after kicking 3 goals in time on they looked like they would go on to win but to goodwoods credit they were just to good, you could just tell from watching that goodwood are used to winning under pressure (finals footy) were imo henley went back in to there shell. some real classy footballers in both sides, seamus macdonell and brad mahafy are a classy pair for henley and for goodys they have the obvious stars in dimasi, illman and wakelin. also to note goodys full forward eric something did not play with the flew so he would come straight back in i would have thought
