Lesson in football for the Raiders today.

give us the run down Q - that's a hugely surprising result. bad day or are WC that far ahead?

West Croydon were very, very good. Highly efficient disposal, good decision-making and hard working midfield. We were none of those things today.

CLG were soft and agree with Footy Budget writer and Kenilworth were Ok but again could not beat anyone of substance. Good game though but writer was right about both sides. Wont win finals playing like that. Will beat average sides but not good ones likes lockleys or w/croydon. how bad are henley going to only get up by a point against mitchell park

come on bit of credit to Mitchell Park ay! I tipped them to win this week after watching them last week against Ingle Farm and i think they have improved amazingly and really thought they would win today.

Unlucky MP, heads up cant be far of ;)

no good signs

there are still some good signs. Gary Rae is the care taker coach now. Played league footy at Centrals many moons ago. I think Mick served Paralowie very well, got a flag, just missed finals last year. But in all honesty, things did become stale. Training became a chore. I think some players just lost interest. Everyone would admit that. Mick is a good coach though and most of the players and supporters will admit that. He won a flag as playing coach, thats a hard feat.

But now, with fresh ideas from a different perspective it'll invigorate the club and no doubt you'll see Paralowie of old in the near future.

Just wish i was playing there still :(

agree with most of your post there number3 i also think if you look at the players the club lost from last year on field results were always going to hurt 5 or 6 of the top 10 in the b&f

holland- centermen
bryant- very good CHF kicked 50odd goals- york pen.
secker- 1st choice ruckmen plays with more heart that anyone- york pen.
phil o- one of the best burst midfield players in the comp- renmark
aliossi- pain in the a$$ but none the less a very good player- b/lodge

thats just to name a few but when your centermen, ruckmen,CHF and 2 midfield/wingmen all go at once its a fair loss.

agreed. also not having barnsy up forward, sticky on the flank and trippy on the wing has hurt. 3 very good players that can turn a game around

yep credit to MP they played good footy. it was blowing a gale and they played our oval better than most visiting sides, and were particularly smart to score plenty of goals into the wind. mcdonnell couldn't be stopped. i think they just got nervous in the last few minutes which happens when you haven't been in a winning position for a while. full credit to them, they really wanted the win and were obviously shattered to miss out in the last minute.
its a big gap from div7 to div6. we have a stronger playing group than last year, and have only been able to be competitive in 4 games out of 9. just to illustrate the difference between the grades, based on what i saw yesterday (and comparing to last year), MP would beat most div7 sides comfortably with the squad they have.

fitness hurt the roos yesterday. just couldnt finish the game off. to trinity's credit, they ran hard and were a tight unit. they will be hard to beat come finals. Paralowie's new coach was alright too. few different game plans and ideas were a much needed change. will be good to get out on the track over the next couple of weeks and have a few trainings with him under our belts and try and get a kick start to the second half of the season

Only watched the last quarter at Hawks yesterday due to nursing a monster hangover - however made it just in time to see the 'play of the day' from DQ - should've just kicked the bloody thing, but no - had to try and get the stats up and goes for not one, but 2 bounces! Neither of which worked...! Classic, wish I had've had the camera out in time! Well done to your mountain men B grade though, caught them napping by all accounts.

Opinions are like as*^oles mate with everyone having one. I went and watched a D6 game for the first time ever due to all the rantings on here and reading them and never seen either team. Normally I just go locally to a D1, 2 or 3 game. The write up actually got me there and those were what I thought.
Sounds like a few of you guys are a bit precious as agreed totally with with it. Not a criticisim or you or Club or Kenilworth. Actually thought kenilworth went harder at the ball and CLG just flicked the ball around wide and tried to use skills. Skills were good though. Would not be 2 precious about opinions matey

Well Done to West Croydon, I have played/coached against West Croydon for many years and I was really impressed today. They were professional from start to finish, not only on the field but off aswell (supporters included). Every player in club polo/shirt and slacks, and they way they play, HARD and with SPIRIT. I was impressed and would say they will be hard to beat from now on in, especially with only 3 away game in the second half of the year. Well done to Matty and all the committee at West Croydon, it was like going to a dofferent West Croydon.

Didn't realise bouncing the ball was a footballing faux pas these days :?

Pretty happy with the B grade win, a great comeback by the lads with 10 goals to nothing in the second half. The lads have really turned a corner after a poor start to the year.
