Well the bedow has spent the the night eating humble pie plympton was disappointing to say the least have been working on a game plan since x mas then from the first bounce did the complete opposite, there are alot of young guys who need to leave there egos at home when they come to play as well. Still think we would have 1 of the more potent forward lines around but yesterday it just got in there way to slow. On elizabeth well played stuck to a game plan all day and it paid dividends a very solididly built team and some very smart footballers not much pace about their side which may find them out on bigger grounds. The dogs will improve and learn from the loss still 7 or 8 a graders to come back into team in coming weeks so not all doom and gloom down at the kennel

Would've been up there again until he went off at half time. Well played mate, Rio was excellent and Vozzo was pretty handy up forward for a young fella, Ky killed us early.

Smithfield gave us a 6 goal head start with some inaccurate kicking in the first but put the clamps on us in the 2nd and 3rd. Really happy with the lads to keep a cool head in the last and grab the points. Looking forward to a test next week tho against the rampaging eagles on their home deck, lets hope the dees can go 2-0.

Yes it was good game, we wasted opportunities and just couldn't breach the gap we let you get out to early.
Our better players were quiet, James, Taylor, Bond weren't as damaging as they can be, a couple of our newer players impressed me though, Joss was all class whenever he got near it.
I was impressed with our run, maybe we need to re-assess our game plan for the smaller ovals, we just kept running out of space.

He played in the B's, didn't start until the 2nd quarter, a bit underdone but nevertheless was very handy when he dropped back to help the defence out.

It's going to take time to gel and get used of a new plan, I think we'll go allright. You guys just kept doing enough to keep your nose in front. It was a pretty good standard to watch, there was no undisciplined acts on either side. One umpire must've paid 60 free's and balled up 100 times.

Were happy to see him back in defence! Could tell he can play but from what I saw think his fitness level is a fair way off A grade at the minute.

The Red Dogs. Everyone knows they have choked and played three preliminary finals in a row so we won’t go into that too much. For mine, I actually don’t think they choked, but were just simply only the third best side in the comp in each of those years. Personally, this side has been missing one vital ingredient the last three seasons which is a vital match winner. Everyone loves big Jimmy Smith, and rightly so as he is a gun and they have Ryan Muir controlling the back line, but these guys aren’t proven gun game changing on-ballers. Their midfield has not been elite and they have suffered for it, as when the going gets tough, no-one stands up and takes the game by the scruff of the neck. There is no doubt they are a very good even football team, but that isn’t always enough in big finals. Despite this, the red dogs deserve the tag of premiership favourite, as talk has trickled from down south that they have quietly recruited well, and if one of those recruits includes just one gun onballer, that will be the ingredient needed to finally get out of this division.

Last Season: Preliminary Final (Westminster)

2010 Predicted Finish: Premier

Fair assesment mate of the dogs mate and good call on picking them premiers but ill go one step further and predict that they will go through the year undefeated their recruits are top shelf and now they have an abundance of depth as well that should get tongues wagging

be funny if they lost the first game of the year :)

nice wrap div 5 expert..good stuff..
