That Trevor Wiegland, or whatever his name is, is rubbish, i umpired a few games with him when i was umpiring for saafl and he just seemed un-interested, and it showed with his umpiring. Should be no higher than a div 6 ump imo.
On the game i thought elizabeth certainly came with a different mindest than Plympton, i think that it may have stemmed from to doggies playing a somewhat wasted trial against a sub standard kenilworth, then expecting to come up against a side like that in round one.
Some coaching moves i found interesting from plympton's point of view; when we have a class goal kicker up forward and we decide, on our oval which is the size of a postage stamp, to start two forwards 15m in front of him at every ball up. Where is he suposed to lead?? Also our on-ballers appeared to be resting in the back pocket instead of the forward line, when the eagles went forward the capitalised on it, and it seemed as if it occured all day.
i reckon our coach over-complicates the game plans for div 5 footy, especially on our home ground where it is 2 kick, 2 handpass footy from one end to the other. Elizabeth showed some physical presence across all lines and the boys did not know how to handle it. Straight out of Westminster's playbook from last years finals series.
