One good thing to come out of the game was that we don't have the worst surface in Div 5 this year.
Went into the club for a beer afterwards, have never felt as unwelcome in an opposition club rooms as I did on Saturday, will be my last appearance in there.

Played there also on Saturday Boosh definately was an experience, in 300+ games of amateur footy that was my first game of beach football. The gound was slightly better than their C grade umpire however

While it's still not an amazing surface, I thought the ground was in better condition on Saturday than it has been in previous years.

Saturday was the 4th year in a row that neither our A or B grade have won at Lutheran. (I'm not sure about 2008 though and that would make it 5 years.)

One good thing about playing there though is there steak sandwiches, they are delicious, the people on the BBQ there do a great job.

We were so close in the B grade to get a win there but a bad first 10 mins in the 2nd and 4th quarters after a pretty even 1st and 3rd quarters really let us down I thought and like good sides do, Lutheran made us pay. We must focus on playing 4 quarters of footy week in week out especially against teams like AL and Hope Valley if we want to be considered a finals threat.

I was at this game and right in front of this action. Don't know what is classed as close but at the time if I'm not mistaken Fitzroy where up by 10 goal late in the 3rd qtr when this all happened. Fitzroy were far better than rosewater from 2nd qtr onward.

Still remember a bloke from my work who came over from Sydney and stayed on South Terrace. Wen't for a walk @ night near veal gardens and comes to work the next day saying he couldn't beleive how busy is was down there for a Tuesday night and he asked why there were so many cars parked down there

Funny how things get turned around as i heard it was the total other away around and rosies threw all the cheap shots!

(I wasnt there and didnt see so I'm saying it was fitzroy or rosies just making the point theold i heard can a lot of times be wrong!)

I did hear that 16 for Fitzroy knocked out one of our blokes with a punch to the head but of course there was nothing in it otherwise he would have got reported.

albeit the bloke who got knocked out did throw the first one.

it all started after one of your small guys got blindsided with a hip and shoulder.

dunno why he was squaring up to a guy who has thighs for biceps....

Sometimes it's so bloody obvious and it can change the flow of a game and often does. This is a complete go at the maggots, not any club.... Just a rant! West Croydon looked good yesterday by the way!

Was gonna say before I read the end that you must have been out at Webb Oval yesterday. I didn't think they were too bad though. Have had plenty worse than that.

I do hope the B grade umpire slept well last night though.

Stroker, I have a feeling I know who u are. If i'm right?? (bryant?) Your just annoyed that u couldn't get a kick in a b grade side. No need to blame the umpire.

I'm Bryant mate, I struggled as you seen, But you get that. Only problem i had with the umpire is him repeatedly telling me, That he would pay the free kicks that were obviously there if i just kept my mouth shut, Free kick is a free kick isn't it?

Cant agree with you on him throwing the first one as for shaping up to him he had to do something since this bloke ran from a mile away throwing haymakers!! I do agree with you on the size of the blokes arms! From what started as a bit of push & shove #16 made it much bigger then was needed!!

Does anyone know the outcome of the Marc Cox tribunal?

Look forward to him pulling the boots on again. NOT. Would love to see his footy socks and shorts draw, there would be more teams than in the AFL!!

Was thighs for biceps one of the blokes involved in the altercation with bouncers at your sponsors pub later that night?
