WOS, BOS and Rossies. At least you will get a guide as to where you sit going in to finals. All the best Zed, you've done a massive job at 'your den' and a successive achievement would be promotion to Div 5. Wish you well. :)

Does promotion go to the two grand finalists or to the top two at the end of home and away? Guessing grand finalists.

PS, and good luck to Harvs in his 'league' recognised opportunity of booting 100 goals in a season. I'll watch that one with interest cos I rate him, for more than just his goalkicking prowess.

Fine effort by BOS on Saturday and very pleased I decided to go and watch them play. 59 points at 3 quarter time was sensational and goes a long way to showing that on their day anyone one in this div can win. Now have to back it up with a solid performance against Mawson's this weekend.

Due to a range of circumstances Saturday saw 2 of our lads play their first A grade game for the club, another play his first A grade game for the season and another come into for just his 3rd A grade game. Now we don't have the strongest B grade and everyone would agree that the level of footy between most A and B grade games in div 6 is significant so it was a great credit to these guys as they just played their game and looked very comfortable. 42 players have gone through our A grade in 13 games ....

Well coached Squid and well played lads.

Curious..

Looking at Mitchell Parks results, does this:

a) Indicate a more competitive div 6 competition than recent seasons
b) Indicate the drastic gap between div 6 and 7.

Also the way Rosewater are travelling isn't too dissimilar to Woody South last season, so is the gap between 5 and 6 also growing??

Are some clubs destined to remain in these bottom 2 divisions??

PG, you have to remember that Woody South got relegated with 8 wins, so they were a good side.. And are also looking at promotion this year from div 5 so i dont think the gap between 5 and 6 is growing.. I dont think the gap is all that big to be honest.. If Rosewater had the side this year, in div 5 last year, we wouldnt have gone 1-17..

Cant comment on Div 7.. Never seen a game of it..

IMO (and that only)

This is the best standard of div 6 I've ever seen
The standard between div 6 and 7 is huge
The standard between div 6 and 5 is more fitness based than skill level

I don't think the gap is that great between the top end of Div 7 and Div 6, the main difference is the level of concentration. You go to sleep for 20 minutes and the opposition bangs on 4 or 5 goals and it's game over. MP have been competitive for most games but have that drop off factor, but they have beaten 2 teams in the 5. Just an opinion on what I have seen. :)

Much alike Ingle Farm and Houghton last season who have had a strong year in Div 7 this season but were competitive last year in 6 in many games.

What's the solution then? Expand div 6 and merge 7 & 8?
