Yeah Johnny is a tool, I got into a discussion/argument with him on the field a couple of years ago in an Under 17 prelim final at Central United. I was sledging him all game cos he wasn't getting a kick, then he took an absoulte hanger in the goalsquare, one of the best grabs I've seen in amatuer footy, so he let me know. He then hit the post from 5 metres out. I sledged a bit more, saw an elbow come flying past my nose after my next kick, invited him to hit me and the idiot headbutted me not 2 metres away from the umpire and got himself sent off. Haven't really talked to him off the ground so can't comment but on the field he's a wanker.

I work with his old man on the other hand, and he's one of the nicest blokes I've ever met...

Is this Hughes second stint at Elizabeth?? I reckon this guy coached Elizabeth back in 1990? and then coached Mallala, 1992/93?

Yeah, but i think he coached a bit later than 1990, DW would know more than me. He coached Kersbrook for the last 2 seasons thats all i know about him.

This is Hughes' second stint at Elizabeth.
Coached the club to a flag in 1991 (against Salisbury North)
I think he coached one more season than moved on.
Not sure about Mallalla.
But he coached Salisbury before moving on to Kersbrook (it might well have been his second stint there too, as I think he was there before coaching Elizabeth the first time).
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Duncs, I see that your reserves team had a win on the weekend. Looks as if it was a close game. I believe Both of centrals teams were quite good last year, so id like to get you thoughts about the game. Were they fairly good?
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Well we werent very well prepared i thouyght for the A grade match, had no system around the ball ups, because we have had Ruckman problems, we havent done much work in that department.

Our game was a classic, it was goal for goal all game, really good honest 1 on 1 football. It took a "special" grab at full back by some absolute gun to turn the ball back the other way and get 9 up instead of 3, which held them out long enough to win the game. They where a very young side but was full of run and not much else, were more sloggers, bit tougher and smarter with the footy. Lookin forward to Fitzroy next week, Will be a challenge
