Well, your pretty much on your own in thinking that it's acceptable. And the SAAFL's pretty much on its own in allowing this.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Totally agree with Dogwatcher, if you want to get your team thru the season pulling stunts like that what are u going to do come finals? League is weak in letting it happen. Can't do it in finals,y now?

When I did it we never played finals, we werent that good but I just came back, as others did, to help out a bunch of blokes that were struggling.

Is that a stunt?

Maybe in actual fact it's a sign of a club with a strong ethos, that the first thing that was mentioned after the coach had finished his post game was from a group of players trying to organize a car of players to go back and help out another group of guys from their own club?

Is that a stunt?

Sometimes it's not all about playing finals, of being the best, or any of that crap. Sometimes it's just about a bunch of blokes with their club at heart that want to help out.

A club with strong ethos mate would have the numbers and not rely on guys playing two games in a day to get a team thru

We weren't guns going back I can assure you of that!!

And what logic do you base the view that clubs with strong ethics automatically have strong numbers? A clubs ethos is based upon the willingness of it's members to roll up it's sleeves and work together for each other, not by the amount of people it has. (exhibit a, that big bowls club on crackerjack with all the pokies (I love that movie))

Clearly you have your view, and it doesn't bother me because I know the reasons I did it, and it wasn't a "stunt".

sometimes you do have a few B graders who are happy to help out mates and the club on a day by playing in 2 games, can help the opposition out by playing a game instead of forfeiting.

Y be a smartarse mate, u have rocks in your head if u think 4 or 5 B grade players playing in the C grade doesn't make a difference even if they have already played a game or not.
Shouldn't you be worrying about where your next investigation is coming from!

Why be a smart ass mate??
He never said it doesnt make a differents its more about helping your club out... As i said in a earlier post, i'm all for it. If it gets you 2 points i couldnt care less or if it helps your 3rds not to forfeit even better... As long as know one missus out on a game, im for it...
The investigation comment is an idiot comment, a blatent elbow and a king hit are worthy investigations, unless you condone those actions????? And if those things continue to happen, more investigations will take place...

On the odd occaison when the C grade are barely fielding a side i dont mind them gettin a couple down to complete there side.
But i dont like if there is 22 C graders starting and a couple B graders come down to 'strengthen' their side. And im sure the unlocky bottom couple C graders who get pushed to the bench for blokes playin their 2nd game dont like it more than me....

Im with you Duncs, if a team cant put 18 on the park i understand, but when there is this head fast approach that u have to have 25 to play is crap.

Im sure the guys missing out see it the same way.

Blatant Elbow to the head? Surely if that was the case when it went to the tribunal the player in question would of got more than 1 week which he had already served and had to get anyway?

yeah cause tribunals never get it wrong  !!!! Blatent elbow.. saw it!!!!

Duncs, no c grader should ever be pushed aside and nor should a b grader be used if the c's have more then 19 c graders... if side is short fair game imo...

With regard to an Investigation, I don't even know what your talking about! I've seen around 20 minutes of footy this year.

So in answer to you question there hotpies, no I don't think I should be worrying about my next investigation, unless that investigation is why your posts always seem to be laced with an acid tongue.

With all this talk of fairness ect where is the common sence here? Its C grade footy Ffs, I laugh @ bad umpiring decisions and if my team mate f**** up. If you want to start playing or coaching for sheep stations then ply yourself in higher grades. Be greatful there is a social footy comp.
