he gets 10 points for trying all year though..i think he has convinced himself even! :)

might have to wander down for a look..
Please do zedman! Wear something green/red/white and support your fellow inner southern comrades against the marauding toffee nosed northern interlopers from the Gully. I know a few of the Gully boys and they're shit blokes!* Especially Dan Noske.

* not at all true, in fact they are a great club and team and we have nothing but respect for them

and there is no way on earth MP are $1.45 carey! I hope we never run into you holding a bookies bag.

I can see why MP might be very slight favourites, but its $1.95 to $1.85 sort of stuff. We have yet to play them with Chambers, Mann, Quinn and Noske all playing. They are all in this week and should be able to account for the 24 odd points that we beat them by at the same venue last time.

Slight favorites morell??? Seriously?? I think anything over $1.15 is far to high for MP.... Raging faves IMO... Goodluck this Saturday to the lions love to see them go up a div...

How so, we have beaten them by less than 5 goals both times and both times they were severely understrength. They easily have a 5 goal better side this time around.

We will have to be at our absolute best to get over the line, not at all confident.

I could be wrong, but it looks like there is a big name missing from the Mitchell Park line up on sporting pulse Morell. Why isn't Adam Hay named? I always enjoy his banter on game day :)

How so morell, you ask? Well you've been by far the best side all year by a mile, besides one little hiccup... I really hope the lions go all the way, and they should.... Odds on morell, for very good reason... Goodluck tomorrow mate

Slight groin Haynzy. Do or die he plays but the coach won't play anyone in who is not 100%, after all we are playing the premiership favourites. TTG $1.20 MP $1.40. The Lions have had 2 weeks off basically and will be in Bali mode. You guys gonna put your team in or just keep me guessing, again.

Cheers Zed, we look forward to renewing our battles with you guys again next year. Gee it's amazing that when you play 2 teams out the 5 in rounds 17 and 18 and have a week off, how long it takes for the players to lift their intensity and adjust to the pressure of finals. The heat was on all day and in the end it was just our belief and workrate that got us over the line. Gullies led all day and they are a terrific bunch of blokes and the game was played in great spirits. :ymapplause:

Says the guy who plays? represents? a club in 8th position from the dizzying lofty heights of ... division 5. Puhlease.

The game may not have had the elite skills and fitness of the higher up division types, but it terms of competitiveness, will to win, see-sawing drama, sporting play, emotion etc it was right up there in terms of football experiences for me. And I have had a few now.

Good luck on Saturday, if you get the chance go and say hello to the chaps from the Marion Football Club. I know they would love to meet you.

Nothing to do with me mate, any and all success the MPFC get this year is from the hard work of the players, volunteers and coaching staff.

Nonetheless it's been a great pleasure for me personally watching my club that was on it's deathbed 3 years ago now reach a grand final and earn promotion. It has warmed the cockles of my heart.

With respect marbles, does that mean the umpires got it wrong too. Lovedar 10 votes, Wilson 8 votes behind Bennetts 18 and Fairclough with 13. Just asking.

yanks im surprised that morell and the gang are seeking to come to this weeks game and intentionally disrupt the peace with possible drunken behaviour, when your mission as leader, with division 1 experience, is striving to set higher standards for your new club to raise the MP name into the higher divisions and higher regard, but yet u seem not at all fussed by your group coming to spectate and make fools of everyone as long as they go by the alias of the marion football club  is that professionalism?

I reckon thats a pretty average comment DOLS. A great game of footy can happen at any level of Footy. I played in an absolute cracker against PAC ia an Under 13 game 25 years ago and that was a cracker even if it was 12 -13 year old kids. I played in a fast paced, action packed, tight, tense, tough game of C grade yesterday. Having seen a bit of both teams and knowing some of the talent floating around in both squads i dont doubt for a second that it was a red hot final that would have been a sh*t hot game of footy to watch.
Well done to Wayne and the boys who have worked so hard to turn their club around and now get to reep the rewards booking themselves a spot in Div 6 next year not to mention a crack at a Premiership on grand final day which can and probably will be another great game of footy 8) .

Yes marbles we will be at your game next saturday, all in red, white and green. They will all have notepads, reports to be made and I WILL be there myself this time in charge of the group. For what it's worth to you as I said at presentations last night we go as one club with a complete alcohol ban for the entire day. Any person with a drink in their hand will be banned from grand final day. Professional enough for you? See you there.
