He works for an mob called Instyle Pergolas and they are moving up/expanding to Queensland. He has put off the job for 9 weeks but now he has decided take it and will be moving up there with his family in the next couple of weeks. It's a disappointing result for our football club after getting him back on board over the summer. I was very much looking forward to playing under OB this season, but now were just gonna have to move on. Buckets will take over for the time being. Will find out more on what the clubs going to do about this situation on Tuesday.
Sorry for North Haven, i didn't want to name him until you found out first. Is your'e "B" coach any chance or will you try and advertise?
Geoff 'Buckets' Lawson is our B grade coach DJ. He'll take over for the time being and is a chance of getting the job, but I reckon the club will look at other options and advertise for a new coach to step in. If we do get a new coach it has to be a North Haven person or someone that knows the club and the people in it because we cannot have an outsider come and take the job, last year showed that it wouldn't work and in a short amount of time it's going to be even harder. As I said we'll find out more over the next week.
TDK, that may be one of the reasons you guys struggle if everyone down there has the same attitude. If someone from outside is considered good enough to do the job well, then why preclude them because "there not a NH person"?
Clubs can only progress with new ideas, just because last season's coach didn't work, why close the book on an outsider? Maybe the selection committee need to take some of the blame for making the wrong choice or if you only had one applicant, you have to ask the question, "why"!
