I've heard the same thing. Only 20 blokes out on the track for a Div 3 Club is not good enough. Must be odds on for making the drop now.

These players your talking about need to understand that they are responasible for the clubs chairman ie they voted for him or they didnt bother to show up to the AGM and vote either way its their own doing, i dont have much time for the man either but i do have a lot of time for the club and i still go every saturday to watch and do my little bit to help the club so those people need to suck it up and accept they are the people that determined this year and next with their vote or lack of vote at the AGM, so get behind the club and not the man and if you are not happy do something about it but always remember the club is what is important here and not any indavidual.

Seaton V Portland was a good game of footy ruined by some terrible 2nd half umpiring decisions by an old man that should be umpiring lower grades.
Portland had their chances even with 3 class players missing but Seatons back half led by "Koota Patruno" was outstanding, they wore their opponents down with tight checking & terrific rebound, Patruno set up many forward thrusts with his strong performance, his aggressive spoiling from behind & run & carry should have earnt him best player for Seaton in my book. Sean Coard was once again unstoppable doing as he pleased all day & with his last game coming up v Flinders Pk this week Seaton will no doubt miss him big time.
Pooraka's defeat has given Seaton a place in the 5 & it now looks as though Pooraka will lose their opportunity of playing finals footy although they play Golden Grove & CBCOC in the next 2 weeks, Golden Grove are due to cause an upset after a month of solid form against top 5 sides.

Agree NM, the grey-haired ump was just plain terrible. If you that bad of a job in your day-to-day employment, you would be sacked.

It was a great game of footy, the first half was very quick and open-style footy, while the second half was a real grind. We just couldnt shake them early, and came back and bit us. Patruno was very good, even though we didnt do the big fella Thornton many favours with the delivery. Coardy was excellent all day, as was #6 on the wing/midfield. Laslett didnt look 100% to me, whether or not just getting back from the USA had anything to do with it im not sure. And Perkins was missed in the ruck, even though Vessali did a good job and was probably our best up until halftime.

We havent played good footy for the last fortnight really, not since giving PH a schlacking a couple of weeks back. Maybe that gave us a false sense of where we are at ?

Thach's mark made Andrew Walker's of last night look like a standard chest mark.

Good win by Para Hills yesterday and very timely for them !! Makes life hard for us seeing as we just can't snatch a win. Last 4 rounds have seen us lose to SMOSH by 18, draw with Seaton, Lose to Portland by 13 and lose to Mitcham by 17. Getting close isn't a win though and win need a couple of those W's quite badly now... We are definitly playing a little better and keeping the effort going for longer but just dont have the finishing ability or clean skills of the other sides. Big test against Pooraka this week who will no doubt but p155ed about losing to Para Hills so that'll be another tough one for us, but when you are bottom, they're all tough !! But we'll keep persisting and having a go....

On the other hand our B grade have been frustrating to say the least...Beat top placed and previously unbeaten SMOSH one week, record our first away win of the year the next against Seaton, then have a stinker away against 2nd bottom Portland who belted us by 10 goals, only to beat Mitcham this week. Our best is definitly good enough, our worst is a long way from that and winning away from home seems to be our problem. But hopefully we can sneak into the 5 and surprise a few...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

hmm not sure about this post mate, it was only a week or 2 ago someone posting that the portland posters have gone quiet on here so i highly doubt it has anything to do with losing.
on the game seaton were great, in the second half in particular, IMO Patruno and Coard were there standouts and should have been 1 & 2 i the best players. Seatons midfield delivered the footy well to there forwards especially loechel and he finishes well, makes it very interesting with Portland, Mitcham & Smosh all on the same wins and the Seaton v Pooraka race is well and truely on

Good win for us with our young players in particular standing up to fill in the holes left by so many Injuries. great to have some under 18's debuting for the A Grade ahead of their finals (starting this week)

Shoukld be lots of comeptition for spots as players return from Injuries over the next few weeks. One more win for Fianls Football...Can't wait. If we win this week we go into third for that all important Double Chance.

Absolutely HUGE Game For Portland and Mitcham this week!!!! Hopefully they belt the suitcase out of each other :P

Mitcham vs portland is next week, mitcham have CBC and Portland have Pembroke. I can't see SMOSH getting 3 spot, you should win your next 2 which will see you jump ahead of either Portland or Mitcham when they play each other, but come rd 18 you have Flinders Park Portland have Pooraka and Mitcham have Pembroke.
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.

If We win this week 1 of portland or Mitcham (whoever loses) goes a game behind us, and both are about teh same eprcentage wise. They then rely on us dropping 1 of our final 2 AND Having a better percentage then us. Personally i'd rather have it in our destiny then rely on results going your way.

Seaton a bit fo a chance to Knock Off FLinders this week anyhow the way they've been going!

Noticed Morell and Fuller were both watching Portland v Seaton on the weekend taking a few notes, i knew Morell had a brocken jaw but heard that fuller may be done for the year with a brocken wrist, if true massive blow to Flinders hopes for this year as he is there major goal kicker

Seaton will knock off Flinders Pk this week at home in Sean Coards last game.
They will then struggle in Coards absence come finals time.

Interesting prediction NM - Coard is certainly the heart and soul of Seaton and an excellent player.. - where is he off to?
