- This is the real match of the round i reckon...2 teams in red hot form. Game to be played at Gawler South FC so neutral ground for both. I'm tipping the Saints by 5 points in an epic
- Flinders need to win to keep their finals chances alive. Crabs by 39 points
- Paralowie easily....98 points Barnes to kick 10- Athelstone at home by 29 points....pressure mounting on Mitchell Park with clubs breathing down their necks.
- Henley on their massive oval to strong. Sharks by 53 points

close one riddlers barnes kicked eleven six in the last quarter

Until the Amateur League want to resolve this issue and fairly asign club umpires that are then pooled by all the clubs in a Div and then allocated to either the Div above or below NOT the Div their club is in, this type of s**t will continue to happen. The only answer is to keep it neutral and if clubs can't produce an umpire fine them to pay for additional umpys from other clubs.
Who knows this may even reduce on field altercations, umpire abuse and perceptions and actual bias as we have all experienced being both on the giving and receiving ends.

Reminds me carey 18 of all the questionable decisions that old Buggy used to dish out in the Magoos to opposition clubs........and wasn't a certain Roos goal umpire given BOG for his dubious calls several years ago?

Is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black? again I refer to the amateur league being responsible to ensure a better system is finally introduced!

Another quick question, did LePompass play? and did Rulebook give the Umpire votes again?....makes a mockery of the association medal.

I see you guys played adelaide uni. Is that old hat umpire out there again for them. He is a terrible umpire and very very biased towards adel uni - An thats my opinion only.....

 Don't blame the umpire because you all have been beaten regularly for the last 10 years by this side.

MW i agree they are a very good team that has beaten us over many a years. Boo Wes only played the first half of your game then packed his bags at half time and left.
He wasnt happy when Mick and others beat him at one on one contests.

yes it was the umpire with the hat.

lol yeah must say its the first time i've seen such high numbers, imagine being the runner, "tell 285 to go to the forward pocket then move 189 to the wing and get 291 in the guts" it would do ya head in haha

Traditionally Uni has trouble filling some of the lesser sides at this time of year - lots of their players are current uni students who come from the country. They all go home for the holidays, meaning there's a few vacancies in the sides.

interesting to see in other divison threads people posting there teams nominations for the team of the year any one like to post who they think will make it from there team? you would think most of them would come from the A grade side playing in div 7 would'nt you? although i guess there are a few older blokes running around just having a kick and a catch who could well make it. i would think we (paralowie) would have a few up for selection.

peoples thoughts? and players?
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Paralowie will probably fill half the side i reckon, winners all over the ground at the moment. If they're playing well shouldn't matter what side they're from.

we are at the moment because of a mixture of uni holidays and injuries - most grades played with 18 and filled numbers from the game before or after.
the reason that the numbers go so high is that each player buys their own jumper and as their club registered number as their playing number on the back. players stay registered for two years so even if they don't play numbers get very high. only the a's get their jumpers provided. hope this helps.

Interesting way of doing things at Uni, mind you with so many teams, cost of jumpers would get a bit out of hand, but if they buy their own, we could technically see no.259 lining up in the A grade?

I hear there are no playing life members either..
