Edwardstown advertised for all coaching positions as per there constitution.
Funny thing was they advertised for A,B,C grade and under 18.
The SFL has a under 18 comp the SAAFL doesnt.

Well done to Ben Gunning on winning the Div 2 Medal. I think he beat Golding by 4 votes. Well done to Golding also.... BEn backs up his Mail Medal and premiership with the Gougars last year at Modbury. Looking forward to the silver bullet playing many games for the club in the future....

ps. if anyone at the medal count can tell me, did Ben do a speech??? he left Mad Monday to attend and he was backing his BOG effort from Sunday up by all acounts....

can we allow umpires to do votes any more? Phos v Smosh game were phos won by 21 goals, one of our blokes got a vote and the poor fella from phos who kicked 11 didnt get in, what a disgrace... my solution the coaches of a particular game confer after the conclusion of the game and pick a 3,2,1, similar to how they do coaches votes on footy classified in the AFL.

My mail has Roach taking a recruiting manager type job at Uni. There will be a few "incentives" flying around under the table this summer.

Plenty of stories no doubt of this ilk. Ben Gunning Associaiton B&F in the last minor round against Pembroke played the first quarter and was rested for the entire game after that. Result was 3 votes from the umpires-go figure

Mind you he had that many touches in that quarter we thought he was going to get leather poisoning. As you know Ben got the Mail medal for the Yorke Penninsula association last year but didn't poll that well at club level for the Cougars, Yes umpires do see things differently but at the end of the day it will always be that way and the recipoents are still deserved of their accolades.

What is interesting is this question; will NM be coaching in 2009?

Not far off the mark Shreky but it's a little more than recruiting. What may surprise many of you cynics is that Roach very much enjoys his new football home and his involvement is honorary.

I play this question with a straight bat because I certainly don't know the answer but what's the word out there with regard to who will get the Blacks job
