I think Mawson Lakes may have wasted their efforts making that comeback as they played Scott Mumford who was not totally cleared to play - cleared by Tea Tree Gully but not Athelstone according to Sporting Pulse page. If you get a second clearance in the same season the original Club must also clear the player and the points from Athelstone carry over. May be an interesting week re the clearance.

Didn't play a game for Athelstone this season mate so it's all good, no need to get their permission ;)

Unfortunately this is correct! We well and truly controlled the game for just over 3/4 but despite this we never put the game away when we had the chance, with 7.13 on the scoreboard at 3/4 time to about 4 goals. Had we kicked straighter the game would have and should have been done and dusted earlier. But to Mawson Lakes credit, they always believed they were a chance, got their tails up and started to run forward in numbers, which they could afford to start doing due to them getting on top of the clearances. Unfortunately we had no bench in the last quarter and with one of our tall defenders getting sent off in the last 10 mins meant we only had 17 fit men on the field. Obviously a devastating result from a coach's and team's point of view - as the first 3/4 is some of the best pressure footy I've seen us play in my time at the club and without our 2 key Zorich brothers not playing. If only there was an effective way to coach a person's head set! Congratulations to Riddler and Mawson Lakes. They have some quality players who now how to turn it on when the game is there for the taking. Things don't get any easier with a trip to Ledger Road this week. Tough Comp!

Yes fair to say we used a get out of jail free card yesterday. Trinity are a quality side who run and create in numbers from half back as good as any team i've seen and were all over us for the first 3 quarters, very happy with how we fought back in the last quarter and probably snatched one we shouldn't of but hey we'll take it. Was good to renew an old rivalry again.

Just like Tosser said things don't get any easier for us either as we host our old foe in Houghton at home in front of all our Past Players, should be a great day and a game which always lives up to the hype whenever we play each other.

Also after witnessing Woody South & Trinity in the last 2 weeks I gotta say they have the best B Grade teams I've ever seen in these lower grades, they're unbelievable!

I was told differently and upon reading the rul 10.11 it only refers to being a registered player nothing about playing any matches, but I am only going on what I was told.

10.11 relates to returning to the club he was cleared from as I read it. He was cleared by Athelstone to TTG so then became a TTG player. As he was registered by TTG and probably contracted, then it is up to the discretion of TTG. Mawson Lakes have acted in accordance with the rules and SAAFL ratify the clearances anyway, otherwise you would'nt get them on the team sheets when you enter the name, and that clearly happened. He also played for TTG this year so the clearance had to come from TTG.

after watching yesterday i think the CHF Marsden is absolutely useless and gave Ingle Farm nothing up forward and honestly don't know how he is playing A Grade. He was lazy, unfit and let the Farmers down when they went into attack!! they would've had more success with one of the forwards from the B Grade  truth be told..B grade would be me being nice to him,i was thinking C grade would be more his standard

I played with Marsden last year and he can be damaging but i think more in the goal square than up the ground, hasnt played the game all that long and CHF is one of the tougher spots to play on the ground. Just wondering (and this isnt a loaded question seeing as im a Para Hills player and supporter) what are the Ingle Farmers thoughts on the start of the year? Is it a question of the side not gelling yet? Is it the personnel on the field? Is it the coach? Im just interested in what the thoughts are from the Ingle Farm faithful. As i said its not a loaded question looking for a bite, im simply interested.

The farm are on the right track, most importantly there is real healthy competition for spots. Blokes can't just roll up and expect to play A grade anymore, and those who have been getting dropped have been outstanding in the B grade. I think the squad as a whole is still finding their way and developing relationships with each other but the performances have overall t on the been largely improved without looking threatening to be honest. The fitness is greatly improved which is evident in the past couple weeks where we actually looked to have the legs over the opposition but failed to convert on the board. Yes the squad is gelling. I will say though a few blokes should be looking over their shoulders as there is a pack of blokes in the magoos itching to take their spot.

Its always going to be tough to inject that amount of players into the club and not get a few issues at the start of the year with players not knowing how eachother play. How many of the Para Hills recruits are playing in the B grade at the moment?

#24 in the b's should be playing a's in my opinion. he just ran and ran all day in the early game and set up so many opportunities.

Maybe only a couple, a few a missing with injuries too. I think though patience needs to be shown with the A grade squad, its no benefit chopping and changing the side every week, there needs to be some continuity and consistency to allow the side to develop together. I do think though that Marsden is probably under some pressure to step up more.

Without doubt, he is a big lump of a man and there arent too many people that would out mark and out body him but i feel its a bit hard for him to be playing that far up the ground. he did struggle a bit in that role playing ressies at Para Hills, but stick him down in the goal square and he will kick bags

Unfortunately here in lies the problem. A big strong unit but lacks versatility and mobility. Unless its stuck on top of his head he is going to struggle. I thought his aggression in tackles was good though

Well, whatever you think of his performance, JB is no cheat. From what I saw your umpire was no better. Guess this is why they are umpiring D6 B-Grade.

d6 umpires are usually average both ways but i have never seen anything like houghtons on the weekend . karma smacked him right in the face a couple of times anyway so that was good . look forward to seeing u guys on our home deck in the future ;) well done on the win and unlucky to your boys missing out on the $500 over the bar aha.

Thanks to Trinity OS for a great hit out on Saturday was really good to renew an old rivalry, you guys were unlucky not to come away with the chocolates. Just a heads up for our return leg though on 07/07/2012 our visitor change rooms will be under renovation and you will have to get changed in a small shed on the north side of Virginia. I'll have to speak to the club to get Des Mini Bus as a sponsor for next season to take us to and from the rooms at your ground if we are playing each other again ;)
