If you get a second clearance in the same season the original Club must also clear the player and the points from Athelstone carry over. May be an interesting week re the clearance.

Unfortunately this is correct! We well and truly controlled the game for just over 3/4 but despite this we never put the game away when we had the chance, with 7.13 on the scoreboard at 3/4 time to about 4 goals. Had we kicked straighter the game would have and should have been done and dusted earlier. But to Mawson Lakes credit, they always believed they were a chance, got their tails up and started to run forward in numbers, which they could afford to start doing due to them getting on top of the clearances. Unfortunately we had no bench in the last quarter and with one of our tall defenders getting sent off in the last 10 mins meant we only had 17 fit men on the field. Obviously a devastating result from a coach's and team's point of view - as the first 3/4 is some of the best pressure footy I've seen us play in my time at the club and without our 2 key Zorich brothers not playing. If only there was an effective way to coach a person's head set! Congratulations to Riddler and Mawson Lakes. They have some quality players who now how to turn it on when the game is there for the taking. Things don't get any easier with a trip to Ledger Road this week. Tough Comp!

Didn't play a game for Athelstone this season mate so it's all good, no need to get their permission

I was told differently and upon reading the rul 10.11 it only refers to being a registered player nothing about playing any matches, but I am only going on what I was told.

Just wondering (and this isnt a loaded question seeing as im a Para Hills player and supporter) what are the Ingle Farmers thoughts on the start of the year? Is it a question of the side not gelling yet? Is it the personnel on the field? Is it the coach? Im just interested in what the thoughts are from the Ingle Farm faithful. As i said its not a loaded question looking for a bite, im simply interested.

The farm are on the right track, most importantly there is real healthy competition for spots. Blokes can't just roll up and expect to play A grade anymore, and those who have been getting dropped have been outstanding in the B grade. I think the squad as a whole is still finding their way and developing relationships with each other but the performances have overall t on the been largely improved without looking threatening to be honest. The fitness is greatly improved which is evident in the past couple weeks where we actually looked to have the legs over the opposition but failed to convert on the board. Yes the squad is gelling. I will say though a few blokes should be looking over their shoulders as there is a pack of blokes in the magoos itching to take their spot.

I think though patience needs to be shown with the A grade squad, its no benefit chopping and changing the side every week, there needs to be some continuity and consistency to allow the side to develop together. I do think though that Marsden is probably under some pressure to step up more.

Well, whatever you think of his performance, JB is no cheat. From what I saw your umpire was no better. Guess this is why they are umpiring D6 B-Grade.

Just a heads up for our return leg though on 07/07/2012 our visitor change rooms will be under renovation and you will have to get changed in a small shed on the north side of Virginia. I'll have to speak to the club to get Des Mini Bus as a sponsor for next season to take us to and from the rooms at your ground if we are playing each other again
