Not sure Taz's body will allow him to sustain last weeks effort for another game, Vanderveldt my tip for the medal - a really versatile forward who is quick can play big and small. 26 degress with a northerly wind doesn't seem like ideal conditions but Harrison and Jolly will be holding the cup...
When I read this I thought that was a brave call Jayne but you just about hit the nail on the head. Modbury's demolition of a spent SHOC was awesome; the fact that SHOC got to the GF from an elimination final was an achievemet in itself, unfortunately the hard games to get there took their toll. The focus on Modbury for pretty much of the year has been the midfielders and forwards, our strength especially in the finals has been the back six. In the 2 finals that Modbury played our backmen had only conceded 10 goals to their opponents, 10 goals in 8 quarters pretty much says it all. Not a tall side Modbury's eveneness in skill, abilty and determination got them over the line. Hats off to Phil Harrison, his first year at the club has certainly been a memorable one, to see the boys party hard last night was a treat. One last official function and that is the B&F on Monday, my tip is still Ben Gunning, that would give Modbury the quinella.
