my bad then sorry dinga..bandar, when i go into the phos rooms i see the greek premiership photos and greek champion players in photos on the wall..how is the greeks history NOT tied up in phos camden? when you absorbed/merged with camden you absorbed the spirt of the greek fc as well..if a greek fc ex player wanted to go and have a beer at his old club he would go to phos camden imo..please correct me if i am wrong

What you will see is the Greek Camden premiership photos rather than the Greek premiership photos. Part of trying to have a succesful entity was to embrace what had happened at that ground and in those rooms previously. There is nothing there from the Greek days at Weigall Oval etc. When this all came about the Camden people stayed put the Greek hierarchy and players went to Henley. We still get some of the guys from Greek Camden coming in for a beer and some still play.

Just to close off the Greeks and Henley had already done a deal before we got wind of it. Being from PHOS we thought Camden wouldn't want to move and we needed new digs 2 and 2 etc.

shocs had a few blokes out vs Edwardstown who probably wont get up for this week either. No injury concerns i dont think from the Towns game.

According to efc over on the SFL forum Edwardstown are now in deep discussion with the SFL to move next year. There have been plenty of rumours and they have looked at it seriously before. If it goes ahead I wonder if SMOSH might get a reprieve?

The same thing happened with EFC last year, be interesting to see what comes of it. Dinglinga if we got back into div 2 I doubt i'd be in the side,im a hack  . I hope it's not the words of the club and just rubbish printed by the rag. Anyway good luck to all teams in the GF this week, make sure you celebrate the flag like we did in div 1 in 27

Well ill be happy with any win 1 point or 10 goals. i have always thought SHOC were the team to watch with key targets and plenty of runners. The boys arent over confident just keen to get out there and play. Hopefully cap off a great team/club orientated season with a premiership. SHOC should also be be very confident they have come from fourth and won tight finals games i think if the hawks get on top by a bit at half time it could blow out but if SHOC win it will be close similar to the last time we played them.... IM hoping its the HAWKS that get the biccies

Modbury by 12 goals... SHOC will match them early but fresh legs and superior ball movement will tell the story. Not sure Taz's body will allow him to sustain last weeks effort for another game, Vanderveldt my tip for the medal - a really versatile forward who is quick can play big and small. 26 degress with a northerly wind doesn't seem like ideal conditions but Harrison and Jolly will be holding the cup...

Well done to Phil Harrison & the lads at Modbury, the best side all year proven on the main day.
I didn't hear the final score but i was wondering if SHOC'S had a goal in mind for the day considering they were goaless at 3qtr time.

When I read this I thought that was a brave call Jayne but you just about hit the nail on the head. Modbury's demolition of a spent SHOC was awesome; the fact that SHOC got to the GF from an elimination final was an achievemet in itself, unfortunately the hard games to get there took their toll. The focus on Modbury for pretty much of the year has been the midfielders and forwards, our strength especially in the finals has been the back six. In the 2 finals that Modbury played our backmen had only conceded 10 goals to their opponents, 10 goals in 8 quarters pretty much says it all. Not a tall side Modbury's eveneness in skill, abilty and determination got them over the line. Hats off to Phil Harrison, his first year at the club has certainly been a memorable one, to see the boys party hard last night was a treat. One last official function and that is the B&F on Monday, my tip is still Ben Gunning, that would give Modbury the quinella.
Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.
