i have not seen div 6 since 2005 and the best side I have seen this yr was Lockleys and i'd comfortably say Lockleys were not as clean and classy as Elizabeth and Kenilworth of 2005 were. However I will say 3rd to 6th this year is a far better standard. This comp is wide open and i'll hold my judgements for a few more weeks. Especially with depth getting tested big time right now at alot of clubs.

Wasnt that the year Elisabeth kicked 75 goals against a side??? I remember they were a pretty tight impressive unit...

Hmmmmm very interesting Dee Man....I'd like to know.

Because that's exactlly what I believe is missing...... an independent view/opinion on what we do well and what we don't do so well and where we could improve to take that elusive next step. Sure someones feelings or Ego may be hurt, maybe even mine. But hey if that's what it takes to get us out of D6, let's do it.

I'm on record as asking for an independent audit of our Football Operations for 2 years now. We're so close and we just need to identify a couple of things and maybe then we can move onwards and hopefully upwards.

LK your spot on re the test of depth it is really going to show over the next 3-4 weeks.

Yep CC17 that was the year. Elizabeth finished top with 70% then Kenilworth finished 2nd with 66%. We also kicked 50 goals at St.Marys park over North Pines. At the business end of the season 3rd placed Central United were flogged 3 times in 4 weeks by the eventual runners up. I was quite impressed by Houghton on the weekend and we're lucky to win, mind you we looked ok in the 1st half when we had a bench. If they are 6th it's a good comp!

Ooooh ouch

Still no answers just a sideways dig, you may be suprised, some people outside the club may have an educated opinion looking at us as an opponent for a number of years.

Alternativelly, I suppose we could just stick our heads in the sand or where the sun doesn't shine long enough and then we could just stay in D6.

You may not know the old adage... "keep doing what you've always done and you'll keep getting what you have always got" Dr Phil or Dr Seuss or Dr Zhivago at least someone who knows more than you and me, said that.

no.not at any time
have had the pleasure of coaching against them over the last several years.
watched from afar this team growing together and expanding their footy knowledge.
but as i said, just a couple of things they need to do to take that next step, just imo[/quote]

Probably have the longest injury list of all Div 6 clubs ATM. Plenty of class, always a contender.

They haven't really done anything in the finals period though have they? The times Ive seen them they look like "a team of champions not a champion team" as the old saying goes!!

Next hurdle for them to jump. There's another old saying - "There can only be one winner"!

(IMO) I Also noticed a few lighter/younger bodies that couldn't handle Some of the in and under type style of footy when i went out to watch them with a full team this year.Do you feel there Is there a lack of depth in this team?
