fair call...not all PAOC people think the same way as sandman might I add

but i believe a large chunck of people from paoc do think the same. i dont go for port adelaide as in the magpies i go for the power. my sanfl team has always been the roosters or any side that gos agains the magpies. why do i go for the power then you ask. thats because my favourite players have ended up playing for there side.

Let me guess, favourite player is Lonie ?

What high standard is that, div 3? Don't confuse high standard with highly paid.

yeah well #20 only played that one game in the B's; got dropped from the A's and then went straight back up (and that kick was pretty funny  ). I understand that the A-grade is the main show, but surely if our A's were as soft as some people on here have been suggesting then players would be pretty quickly dropped to the B's and our B-graders (who people have conceded are not soft) would take their place in the A's; making the A's 'tough' or 'hard' or whatever you want to call it. I'm simply trying to make the point that our A-grade clearly aren't soft, but as dazed&confused has already pointed out, we're very beatable and have been well beaten two weeks in a row.

As for Newman, I'll reserve judgment until I see him play (If he'll tell us who he plays for  ), but some of his comments have been rather mindless drivvle taken straight from the little book of stereotypes

sandman here is an unbiased opinion

wet weather disadvantages faster players? yes
wet weather disadvantages taller players? yes
wet weather doesnt suit your team's game style? maybe
wet weather advantages less skilful players? NO
marking players=more skilful, crumbing players=less skilful? NO
your players didnt adjust their game plan? stupid

just because the ball is on the ground more means your "skilful" players can't pick it up?

when conditions aren't ideal is when the cream rises to the top
whether itll be a Jonathon Brown who can still take a clean grab, or a Gary Ablett/Jason Porplyzia who can still handle the ball cleanly below their knees or off the deck

If a player's skills struggle when conditions are favourable, they are going to struggle even more so if there's a strong wind or a slippery ball and if your players are so "skilful" as you keep pointing out, of course they are not going to execute their skills as well as normal but in no way is it an excuse for a lose.

A coach of another club not happy with you either...

I knew you'd say that, but your post said he had played PAOC at a high standard. Learn how to write properly.

Trust me, if my coach were unhappy he would take all of three seconds to tell me to shut up.

I'll worry about other coaches when they are coaching my club, until then I don't really give a toss.

AFL = div four? No
gary ablett = jason Porplyzia? No
Stupid comment = yes

I never used it as an excuse to lose i gave you a reason why we lost. wet weather games are about 2nd and third efforts. we didnt do enough. theres no jonathan brown playing in div four. picking up the ball in the wet is a skill yes and we can do that but using our handballs and skills with our hands were affected by the wet.

I was referring more to the standard of his playing, not division. You are the one who mentioned that, i just answered your question.

Kilburn vs Flinders Park should be a cracker of a game in a couple of weeks...

It has become apparant that you blokes are incapable of holding a civil conversation without breaking as many rules of the site as you can in one sentence.

This thread is locked until further notice.

Anyone who starts a new div 4 thread will be banned. I dare anyone to test that threat too.

Any issues? STIFF :?
