They asked, but no clubs were willing to take their place.

Fair enough, I would of thought it would be every clubs prerogative for their senior side to play as high as possible

From our point of view, we finished bottom, got beaten twice by the ninth side. When a decision had to be made, we'd lost 3 of our top 6 in the B&F and hadn't recruited anyone, so you can see how the committee's majority vote ended up being for D7.

As it turned out, we got thumped by CLG (D6) in a trial game.

In the end, if you wanna be a part of D7, you have to be prepared for promotion. TTG were unlucky, as previously, C/D clubs were able to make the deal with A-Grade clubs.

On the other hand they're probably lucky that they met probable finalists in the first few rounds, if they played some lesser sides first up they might have been more competitive and then it could of been too late to drop out.

Nah, everyone would have thumped them (by more probably) except for Adelaide Uni.

7 new faces named this week. Including Stephen Daniels who played a grade at grove in 2011. This really is embarrassing for the league...

Who is blaming TTG? I notice the people who are "over" reading about this don't have a side in the comp, fact is, the only side that will benefit from all this is TTG I have said all along they should have sucked it up and played out the season where they started. I don't blame them for agreeing to come down, why wouldn't they? I think it was a dumb decision by SAAFL and will look even worse if TTG take out the comp, if they had so many out his week will they throw a D grade back in the mix too? We are the only ones voicing it so far because we are the only ones to have played them yet, if they beat other sides as easily they will feel the same, if not, well it is more of an indication how far away we are and not how good they are.

Yeah I think you would be singing a different tune if your team was actually in Division 8.

The only scenario I am seeing at the moment is Tea Tree Gully beating someone in the grand final by 15-20 goals. They killed us and now suddenly the reinforcements have arrived, not even SMOSH West Lakes will be able to keep up with them.

Do agree, pretty hard to judge after one game but they were better by a long way. But like I said could have been an indication to how poor we were too.

So, tonight:
TTG lose to Salisbury

And in Rd 3:
GG lost to TTG
Salisbury lost to PAOC

And in Rd 2:
PAOC lost to GG

Therefore:
TTG < Salisbury < PAOC < GG < TTG

Something's not right there!
TTG must be playing funny buggers with selection to try and divert attention!

  ;)

We had a clearance put in to us, then the player changed his mind and his reason was "a heap of blokes have come out of the woodwork and we're a good chance of a premiership, so I want to stay now" Can't blame him really, most would probably do the same. Next few weeks will be very interesting
