Only warm beer I got was in York. Tryed a local Ale, I politely handed the pint back with a no thank you! He offered to put ice in it but I payed and asked him to pour it out![]()
In other news EFC are 3rd halfway through the season, developing a great side. Look for the big run home

If you're 50/50 to make finals then you could effectively schedule a twilight or night game towards the end of the season and just have your whole B grade have a few hours rest then double up again at night and nothing will be said by the league. If you ain't got enough players don't have a C grade, simple!!
Trouble is that you may have 90+ players in February which soon becomes 60 odd come June/ July.
True but you're allowed 25 in the C grade comp doesn't mean you have to use them all. Kilburn started with 18 on Saturday and had 7 Div 3R players rock up at 1/4 time to play the rest of the game, just don't think it's fair. Wouldn't be able to do it in finals so why now?

So if you can't do it in finals why allow it during the regular season?

Because thats what the Clubs wanted - remember each Club votes on the rules & regs, if they don't want them it is simple to remove them
Majority rules

Thanks EM. I know that the team I coach won't do this just for the principle!

Anyone who says they're out there for just a laugh is kidding themselves.
Everyone wants to win - otherwise there wouldn't be a grand final.
I totally disagree with blokes dropping back. Go up, sure. But not back.
I can't think of any other football competition in the state where that sort of thing would be allowed.

There's a big difference.
Start allowing blokes to drop back, then you can stack the C grade, particularly if your B grade's finals chances are hit and miss.
And again, players rocking up at half time, no matter how knackered, have an impact on the game.
In the Riverland, if your A and B grade are playing on different days, you can't drop back on Sunday if your A grade plays on Saturday. It's the same in all other comps I'd imagine.
