I do agree with you as far as A grade goes. You have to push on with the kids. I am mainly talking about B grade and below. With such a successfull footballer amongst your club he could do wonders for your kids in either the B or C grade. Even if it is only for half a year or so just to work alongside them. Like i said i don't mind having blokes running around like that. I am 37 so it was a big battle of two old codgers when we played last. Good luck going forward and we will see you in a month or so.

Sacred Heart boys there is nothing worse than having you spirits broken in one game of football. That is what happened to you last friday...you got challenged and well the result speaks for itself. Blame the umpire, blame the quality of players in our team but at the end of the day you crumbled under pressure and you could see the difference in SHOC from the first to last quarter. Those downhill skiers seemed to be gone by the end of the game and the kick and hope tactic seemed to be the only option.

FYI...

1. I never blamed the quality of your side, I merely pointed out that your D grade side was better than your C grade (which I also noted that I had no problems with).

2. I never said that it was the umpires fault, I said that he made some questionable decisions. I also said that we played terribly which was the overall contributing factor in the game.

Definitely agree that we played bad, no doubt about it - we started well but faded. Hopefully it's a bit of a wakeup call for the rest of the season.

Say whatever you want, but if that is truly what you think then you clearly are delusional. Your D grade is clearly a cut above your C grade. There's no problems with a bunch of guys playing together in a lower grade but don't sit there and try to sugar coat it.

Once again Footy Rulz you come on here running your mouth. Shall we search thru last years posts where u did the same thing and what was the end result again?

I think Double Blue has explained himself quite well and not bagged your club or anything.
Dont give people more reason to knock you off again.

With comments like FR's I dont blame you! the truth is there is a lot of the guys that played last year still running around in the D grade and a few of us that have dropped back this year. In all honesty I think FR is trying to get a rise and I rekon he should try and get a kick first. We are not all like FR.

Doubleblues wasnt having a crack and I think did say that the umpiring didnt make a difference in the end, just didnt help.

Looking forward to another tough one tomorrow, PAC are another side we are fearful of and a few of the older bodies in our side have packed it in for the mid season run so we wont be as strong as we would like but still happy with the side that we put out on the park.

Because they have also been winning majority of thier games, why not be fearful?
We also are not as strong as we have been in previous weeks tomorrow.

Surely you understand that there are games that you can go into not being as confident as others?

PAC are definitely a quality side, from memory they were maybe missing a few when we played them but still did quite well. Given that it rained most of the game when we played them I wouldn't take much out of the result.

What are peoples thoughts on the competition so far? Obviously Golden Grove stand out in front but other teams could improve. Given Flinders Park/PAC/SHOC all may have their higher grades playing finals could this be an advantage over the Grovers? I know come finals time you would probably expect a couple of extra inclusions in each grade above which would mean an influx of 5-10 players.

Mindful of a game where you are going in underdone is one thing, but scared of a bunch of outside front runners who got smashed by SHOC? Please.
Been wet all week, playing on the bog that is GGFC, PAOC will go missing.
No way the home side doesn't win this by half time.

Fair call, then I will say we are mindful of us putting out a side this week that is missing a few key players makes it more dangerous. I am really going on last year also with PAC as I havent seen them and you obviously have.

Old Dog think Elsy will be throwing the boots back on this week. He is still getting over his broken wrist but we are a little light on with numbers so think he as put his hand up. Think he just wants to get that step closer to 200 games!

I know come finals time you would probably expect a couple of extra inclusions in each grade above which would mean an influx of 5-10 players.

You could also loose as many up to, remembering that in finals the A and B grade can each play an extra one on the bench which would mean you would assume at least from the B grade to the A grade one of their best go up, then from the B grade you lose that player and need to replace him and add another so you lose 2 from the C grade and it filters down. It may not be an issue from D grade to C grade because of the extended bench.

Having said this having more of your sides in the finals helps. We are still confident that we will have the B,C and D grade in the finals. I think that both the B and C grade will make it, there are still some players to come back into the higher grades which will only strengthen our lower grades.

Us aside in C6, I think Flinders Park will be tough to beat they had players missing when we played them and they are quick and in my opinion play a bigger ground well. SHOC will be around the mark and wouldnt write them off. Dont know about PAC yet. I think that the top 3 should be GG, FP and PAC. I think that the remaining 2 spots will be fought out between ML, SHOC and SMOSH but I do think Salisbury are a real chance to knock one of these out of the way and possibly move into the frame.
