If SMOSH do this they will win comfortably by 10-15 goals +

I'm not even going to do tips this week as you have summed it up already. my roughie for the week as I always love a roughie Pooraka to beat SMOSH.

I dont want to curse us but don't count us out just yet. A few wins lately and the guys are really starting to play well together, apart from the disappointing effort we displayed against Portland we have improved quite slot over the past 5-6 weeks. Training was good this week and were looking forward to really showing SMOSH a hard fought game. They will know they have played the Bulls.

You were right WT there were a few surprises. Great game of footy. Hard to go past the calibre of players that CBC brought out of the woodwork. I was surprised to see Jar's suit up to be honest. To be up front he palyed better than his brother did on the 1's. Wait played really well and threatened to take it away. YOur bloke 31 i think it was palyed a ripper until he got taken off? If it was him i hope he's not too bad and will bounce back. I know i would love to have someone like him in my side. Just keeps on running and gets his hands on it and is bloody quick about it. After being down at 1/4 time we turned it up a gear and pegged it back. Too and fro in thel;ast with us pretty much using the footy and our space better. m We wanted it a little more with our legs. To be honest we waisted a lot of our chances going forward in the first half. Not hitting targets and missing fairly easy goals. Shoulda, coulda type scenario but if we did capitalise on these it would have been a better outcome than what it was. I never went into this game thinking we would thump CBC seeing the names taht have never been on their team sheets before. With what has been told to me about FP i think we could have a real crack but we wont know until Saturday afternoon.
Big, big shout out to the CBC boys and their coach. Congrats to Gary Wnter on his 250th and the guys were very accomodating to let me in the rooms after the game to thank them and congratulate Gary on his milestone. Its a biog thing to have a guy get to that point in his career at your club. Im sure taey wanted a different result especially with the players they brought in. If only they had taht side all year they woudl not be on the bottom of the ladder thats for sure. They put up a better fight than some of the higher teams on the ladder. Real testimant to my lads they were challenged by a good side no doubts but came out on top. Well done to CBC for a great day and the biggest crowd we have played in front of.

I know FP are way out in front but i thought GG would get a little closer to them than they did with the outs that FP had. GG have certainly turned it around so far this year. I thought Seaton would have beaten POS by more than they did. Mitcham vs PH was expected. Not sure of the gorund condiditon but i did think it would be a lot worse than what it was. SMOSH obviously bounced back to form with a good easy win. With them to take on GG next week that should help us keep clear on the ladder. It would be very hard to get both the top 2 in consecutive weeks (GG). Im glad we get the break in between but can see the other side of getting them out the way early. Laddr is really starting to pan out how most of us thought. With the ladder in the 1's the way it is now it seems as though POS, PH, GG, CBC and remote chance of Seaton in the relegation zone it would be a shame to see both GG and PH drop away. GG have made the better of the jump up to div 3 and PH are a great club. POS have made nowhere near the impact that FP have made. Mind you to win the past 3 flags in C grade is a huge coup so FP should be as good as they are to not loose a game. GG have done the same thing but coming up a grade is tough. Look at Pooraka. They have not had the results as GG but when you look at it are only a few wins out of the 5 with GG having thr draw they have over the next few weeks 5th spot even 4th is up for grabs. Should be an awesome 7-8 weeks of footy.

Well done to the Portland lads for the guard of honour after the game - 250 games at any level is a huge effort. A majority of the players brought in have played with Garry over the years - there were a few A Grade premiership players of yesteryear in that side. I think they would like to have that side every week only about 20 years younger! Still shaking my head about the goal D.Jarman kicked - amazing!

Your not wrong, on one hand i thought that it was just typical Jarmanesk. The other my magnet board nearly ended up in Hindmarsh square as it was about 2 seconds before the siren went. Plenty of filth came out of my mouth. Wasnt it just before half time? I just remmeb rgetting fired up about that or somethign else and took the boys over to the far wing at the main break. I still reckon he palyed better than Andrew. The tackle he put on my bloke in front of your coaches box was gold. I heard my bloke give an all mighty uuuuurrrgrghh. when they went to ground. I was wondering if Jars was going to tell him to get away or get a restraining order as my bloke that was standing him was always saying to make sure he gives him an autograph after the game. The guard was out pure respect mate. Io nly spoke to him for 2 seconds and the way he went about it on the ground was testimant to how and who he is as a player. I will say that i thought Macca (CBC Ump) was a bit one sided on the weekend compared to when he officiated last. 25's for very small acts but that was one of our most undisciplined in relation to giving the 25's away.

There were a few outs for the GG C grade on the weekend that will make a difference come finals I think. They'd be dissapointed not to have got closer on the weekend but determined to fight back later in the season. FP just too good over all 4 teams unfortunately for us !!

Just had a look at the ladder and the fixture for the rest of the year. I think Seaton and Pembroke have the worst run home then anyone
Seaton- 12/CBC 13/GG 14/Mitch 15/Port 16/Flin 17/Smo 18/Hills
Pem- 12/Hills 13/Pooraka 14/Smo 15/Flin 16/Port 17/GG 18/Mitch
Pretty hard to both play the top5 in the last 7 games but that's footy. I know sides will not be taking them lightly but can only really see them winning 2 more games each. GG still have it a bit tough
12/ Smo 13/Sea 14/Port 15/mitch 16/Pooraka 17/ Pem 18/CBC
So if Seaton and Pembroke only win 2 more games each GG will only have to win 1 more game to make finals.
The Portland GG game could be a cracker it could be the game that decides 4/5 spot and who get's the home final.

Fair calls there Kick. The game between us and GG will be a cracker. Especially being up there. We have never played there before so it should be good. They said they thought that they should have belted us but had people out. Looking at their sheets there hasnt been that much difference. The next few are 12/FP 13/PH 14/GG 15/Sea 16/POS 17/Mitch 18/Poo The ones hilighted should be wins some definate wins for us. FP will be a real test for us, Mitcham will be close. It will be played at home for us and i think we can get the job done if we can put the yards in we should take it. GG will be a close one. Last time we played we were on the up and really kicking some goals and now that GG have turned their season around it should be a great game. Worse case we can finish 11 & 7 best case 13 & 5. Maybe we could sneak opne against FP and give them their first loss and go 14 & 4. Who knows. Im just glad the division is (besides the bottom 2-3) its a good grade to be playing footy in.

Looking further into our draw towards the end of the season. Including this week's game. We have 3 triple headers 3 home games 3 away. The last 3 games at home. very different fixtures this year for us. We had 6 home games in a row at the start of the season.

Portland vs Flinders Park Massive game for us. I am confident we will show a little more than we did in round 3
Mitcham vs Pooraka Pooraka in a bit of trouble this week. Home graound and the way tehy go about it, Mitcham set for a walk over
Pembroke vs Para Hills Love to see PH get up here and make a charge for the end of the season. POS can win this one but PH to do the job
Golden Grove vs SMOSH Bounced back last week so their form should continue. Its now there job to keep clear of Mitcham and maintain momentum
CBCOC vs Seaton Hard to say this one. If CBC can get the same blokes as last week i dont think Seaton will have a chance. If not Seaton will come awau with the win but it wont be a big one

Portland vs Flinders Park think this will be a close one portland might be the first team to get the job done
Mitcham vs Pooraka cant see it being a good day for Pooraka Mitcham being playing some good footy and can't see it stopping
Pembroke vs ParaHills Can't see them winning too many more games but they need to put ParaHills away if they want any chance of paying finals
GoldenGrove vs Smosh Mitcham biting at there heels for 2nd spot they can't loose easy games like this
CBC vs Seaton Could go either way depends if the CBC last week or the week before plays

Roughie for the week GoldenGrove to beat smosh just to keep the top of the table interesting

Good contest out at the SMOSH this arvo with the home team getting up by 4 points in the end. I think it was 4 anyway.... Good game allround, plenty of desperation and committed attacks at the ball and I think we showed that we can push to top sides. 3 or so goals down at 1/4 time and slowly tried to peg them back but a missed shot 20 out in the last would have maybe seen us sneak over the line. Good bunch of lads at SMOSH, a bit of frustration out on the ground but that's where it was left and thats the way it should be as both sides appreciated the effort of the other. Very accomodating afterwards in the bar too so thanks !! Cheers lads. Dissapointed not to see Russell Hart there for a beer after the game..

Huge effort by my lads on the weekend. Thats the top two sides in 3 weeks and a total loss of 11 points. We were in front all day until 5 minuets in the last 1/4. Undisciplane cost us the game. We lost the game pure and simple. As FP were not the same side as round 3 neither were we. It shows me taht we can take it up to the top 3 and if we had just kept our heads down we could have given Smosh their 2nd loss and FP their 1st for the year. In the past now.
I will say that I seriously question the suitability of FP's club ump. Our's was not great ill admit, but the FP ump never looked after the bloke over the ball for both sides which in that weather you must protect and reward the bloke for his efforts. He continuously swore at my players and kept having a go at 2 certain players of mine which he gave free's against which he was nto in control of coming from 30 metres away. When a few scuffles came in in the last half 9 for FP kept dumping, s;apping and hitting 2 of my blokes behind and in play, the FP ump saw it and never did a thing about it. Our ump wasnt calling the play on both occasions. Whilst i was in the opposition changerooms thanking the bioys for their hospitality i heard the ump talking to a FP player gloating about being biast and asking the FP player if he liked it when he gave a certain free in front of goal from half the field away as we (my side) looked like we were going to run away with it. "i had to even the game up" he said. That is discgraceful and the bloke should be spoken to about it. FP won the game we move on. PH this week should be a great game. Heading up there is a tough ask at any stage of the year so looking forward to it.

Good to see your boys give them a real push, i questioned that umpire when they played mitcham he did not once protected the player putting his head over the ball. The only ting you can look at is that when you play finals you will have league umpires. I see mitcham must of had a few outs this week with talks they had 6 out of there A grade and their D grade forfeited, might be the chance to take 3 spot from them if they don't get there players back soon.

ROUND 13
Portland - Still another big game in the scheme of things. If we want to hold onto the spot we have now we need to win the same games as early in the year. Its always a tough ask to go to PH for a triple header. Never take these guys lightly

Golden Grove I think GG will be too strong for Seaton on their home deck. Seems GG are getting back into ealrier form. Looking forward to Round 14. GG by 4-5 Goals

Pembroke - Will be to big an ask for Pooraka to get a win here. Will be close though. 2 goals+

Flinders Park - If they have the players back that they were missing? It will not be a great day for CBC. Even though its in the wet i cant see CBC getting within 10 goals unless they forfiet again.

Mitcham - With how Smosh have been travelling i think Mitcham will take the points here. They play their home ground well and as ive said with the form smosh are in i dont think they will be as big an ask for some sides as they have been. Mitcham by 4-5 goals

I'm going to pick your lot by 15goals Satchel only thing that might stop that is the weather

The Golden Grove Seaton game could be interesting Golden Grove should get the job done but if the oval is a mud pit which I recon it would be could make it a closer game.

Pembroke should get the job done

Flinders Park CBC they did forfeit last week maybe this might be the last game for the year

Mitcham and Smosh could go either way apparently both sides have a massive amount of outs with mitcham D grade having to forfeit last week I think Smosh would get the job done
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.
