Gepps and Greenies at 1km still beat it.

and Plympton and PHOS equal it.

Ok, looking at North Eastern Clubs, they all have an average of 4-5km in distance between them

(Athelstone, Hope Valley, Modbury, TTG and Golden Grove)

All clubs have healthy seniors and juniors so without being a scientist, you'd say that 4km between clubs is the safe distance for a club to thrive.

Discuss.

Der me... I dis-proved my own theory by saying that PNU were doing well with 3km around them.

Henley are also quite distanced from the nearest club.

is it saying that in each 2.5 kilometre radius of suburbia there is approximately 50 active adult footballers

and 2 goal umpires

therefore every 50 metres there is an amateur footballer?

Wow some detailed work there by morell

The forum topic is derived from the question can Mitchell park & flinders uni BOTH attract at least 30 new recruits to their clubs before march 2015?

Meaning 2 clubs within 2kms of each other, are seeking to recruit over 60 men within the next 3 months. Can it be done?

They don't have to necessarily be new recruits, many might already be registered with the club but didn't play this year.

These are pretty much within 5k's (give or take for those that want to get really technical) each way of our club (Portland)
Dizzies,Rosewater, Smosh, West Croydon, Seaton, Flinders Park, North Haven and to an extent lockleys and Henley.
Always been hard for our area and our location but it seems to work itself out after a while. Some come and go and sometimes stay on the Peninsula or thereabouts.

I had no idea they were so close  (1.2km for those playing at home)

You'll find that I posted a couple above (PAOC and Uni and PAOC and SPOC) that are closer.

Me either until I went to the div 6 GF this year. the turn off to Mitcham Oval is where Kingsford Oval is
