It's up to us clubs to stop it happening at the AGM. No ifs no buts!!

Clubs go through successful times and hard times and all clubs should deal with the hand they've been given. Personal view - EP should not go to Div 4 and tough it out, you never know what might happen. The season might not be as bad as they think and they could be competitive enough to stay in Div 3. If they are choosing the path to Div 4 then they are telling the world they are defeated before a ball has been bounced, and this isn’t a good attitude to bring into a club.

And after building the club up on and off the field for the last few years I wouldn’t have thought EP would choose the "easy" way out.

I don't have anything to do with EP football but I am very very surprised that they have asked for this knowing the people involved at the club it seems very out of character.

As others have said it doesn't set the greatest precedent for the rest of the league.

Also from an EP point of view there wouldn't be much to gain out of dropping to div4, if they perform badly well they could have done that in div3, if they perform well it would be tainted and a premiership would feel almost like cheating hey

And if DOES happen, it opens it all up for the other 66 or so clubs to play wherever they want too. They were good enough to go up a grade 1 x 1, they can be good enough to go down 1 x 1 too.

definetely could have helped kilburn 3 years ago, however in saying that we did then go onto win back to back, so eastern pk should take everything in their stride and play where they qualify. IMO

Modbury also dived to Div 5 and went straight up to Div 1, also doing it the hard way. Surely the league wouldn't allow this to happen. You lose players and push on regardless, EP has a good junior structure and it wouldn't take long. How embarrassing would it be if they went to Div 4 then straight up to Div 1 in 4 years.

Personally don't have an issue with it. Something drastic must have happened if this is true. No club in the history of the SAAFL would be happy with dropping more than 2 grades @ once. Their own negatives far outweigh their positives in this situation.

The club known as Glandore was kicked off of their oval by the council at the end of 2001 and they moved to Charles Cane Oval (Ovingham) for the 2002 season and still known as the Glandore Eagles and won the D5 flag from the elimination final having finished in 4th spot with a 13-5 record. They lost 5 of their first 6 games before going on a 16 game winning streak to take the flag with an average winning margin of 66pts in the minor round and 106pts in the the finals. In 2003 they moved to the old Woodville Districts ground in 2003 and were still known as the Glandore Eagles where they finished in 3rd place at the end of the finals series in an incident pact Preliminary Final at Kilburn Oval against SMOSH West Lakes. In 2004 they finished 9th in D4 and were now known as the Kaurna Eagles and were relegated to D5 where they finished 10th and then were relegated to D6 for the 2006 season in which they only played practice matches during the season as no score was recorded in any matches they played in in both A & B Grade matches. The club was further relegated to D7 for the 2007 season where once again they failed to win a match in either grade. The club disbanded at the end of the 2007 season. The club played the last 3 years of its existence at Mawson Lakes Oval 2005-07

They had a year at Pennington Oval somewhere amongst that as the Kaurna Eagles, it was when Michael Long was out there.

This was discussed on the Div 3 forum so I won't go into detail but this was a disgrace and is the reason that if this does come to a vote North haven will definitely vote against it and that will not change regardless of circumstances.

That was the worst game i have ever been part. At Kilburn prelim final. Michael long was a hero of mine and i walked out to stand him. his words ya better have eyes on the back of ya head. Smosh won the game by a few goals, lost ruckman with a broken cheek bone, lost the captain with a busted ear and about 4 or 5 others with concussion. Long and Warrior walked into the rooms after the game and wished us luck in the GF. Lucky we won the GF against Salisbury the following week
As for eastern park. sorry but rules are rules. take ya medicine. In the late 90's early 00's smosh went from div 2 to div 4 in straight years. took our medicine and worked way back up
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
