Millar going to Freeling, taking some players.

Ardrossan...Club told him the job was his if he wants it...They phoned him through a conection as they didnt get anyone apply even after advertising twice...need more than anyone currently playing at EP to make a difference to that club...Long long way behind the rest...and some on the YP are very good...

Not sure if it was 98 or 99 but i played against them when i was at Walkerville so they have deff been in Div 3 before.

2001 we got relegated from Div 3.

Only one bloke from A grade premiership side this year that played that year...

Yes mate, 3 that I heard of and that was from one of them...but I still think possibly 2 will go even if he dosn't take the job..Spoke to him via text and he said he hadnt been appointed as yet??? Not sure but he might have other things pending elsewhere so Im reading??

Shed any light CFF?? Has the appointment happened yet???

Yes mate, 3 that I heard of and that was from one of them...but I still think possibly 2 will go even if he dosn't take the job..Spoke to him via text and he said he hadnt been appointed as yet??? Not sure but he might have other things pending elsewhere so Im reading??

They will be alright as some that have left in previous years are coming back to Demon Park; so my spies tell me

Heard this one direct from an Eastern Park player They want to be put in DIV 4 next year due to several issues but there has been an exodus with Dusty imminent departure and i was told they dont think they will have the list left to be competitive in div 3 next year.
Statistically has any club ever dropped 3 divisions in 18 months?

Surely you have to ride out the season, all be it struggling all the way. It happens to lots of other teams.

Pretty sure Glandore dropped 5 divisions in next to no time and in the combination of Premier and Amateurs I reckon it would have happened to many clubs. I was pretty young then Wristy so I could be wrong.

Would be a close game you would think EM! My understanding about the Div 4 scenario is that was purely only discussions from within the club and the SAAFL executive obviously would look at it, but as the least favoured option to be considered.
Also in defence of the club losing players they are in such close proximity of several other football leagues, BLG, APFL, HFL and as we all know there is some serious money being paid in YPFL & RFL etc. The club will also lose 3-4 players who are shifting north (Pt Augusta way) for work reasons. All contributing factors for the club to explore all options that may be available to them.

Would have to agree with Shirtfront on his post. Its gotta be "Tough titty said the kitty". The Demons wacked plenty of teams on their way upfrom Div 3 to div 1 and they may just have to cop a couple of hidings on the way back down. Migt be time for some of those gun C graders to play Bs and As.

Id be suprised if they went down two divs but as i previously mentioned i have no idea if there is precedent for this

Wristwatcher you have a vested interest in getting those "gun" C graders playing up - so you can get your game day possessions into double figures

Glandore is the precedent but they went from Div 1 - Div 6 under very different circumstances

Glandore B Grade forfeited games whilst in Division 1 and resurfaced in either Div 4 or Div 5 the next season as an Aboriginal Club that lost their first 6 games got a big grant then suddenly had about 20 new players including Michael Long and won almost every game from then on, I played in a losing final against them. It was absolute rubbish that they got to pick their grade and if Eastern Park get to choose to be in Div 4 and finish anywhere other than 9th or 10th then the league should be held accountable.
