Do you not understand local rivalry? It's a fun thing, don't get upset.

i understand local rivalry but would think maybe the fact that the 2 teams dont play each other no real need to label everyone there scumbags considering there is probably noone at the clubs that would of played against each other left

I thought they bred them tougher than that at Salisbury North ;)

If you can't understand the context of the term 'scumbag' after this whole conversation, god help you.
It's been made in respect to a wonderful rivalry that was once shared. It was something to be enjoyed.
The term was made in jest, not meant to be vindictive.
Crikey.

But I played against them, many times - even made my senior debut against SN at SN. My old man played for both (SN B Grade as a 12 year old, then to Salisbury after his time at Centrals) and I now have cousins play footy there. I also still have many great mates who I played against - who wouldn't hold back from calling me a scumbag when we catch up.

I understand all sides of the rivalry as a result and perhaps it still means more to me than those currently playing but I don't step back from calling your mob a bunch of scumbags!

Consider it a term of endearment rather than a label, perhaps?

I can't believe O'Loughlin is going to play with the Salisbury North scumbags.

Especially that Dylan Brooks scumbag.

Damn scumbags.

So are Elizabeth.

But Mick's a great fella and good on him for doing this, I know Salisbury enjoyed and benefitted from Stewart Dew returning after retirement.

I heard that Stewie used to drop in for a quiet one on his way back from AAMI and end up chucking a heap of coin over the bar on his way out for everyone to have a drink on him, champion stuff.

And then end up catching up at McMahon's later that night to relive the days battles.

CHANGE OF DATE!!!!!!

Postby in_the_box » Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:57 pm

Due to Mikey O's AFL Commitments as the AIS Coach, he is required to be away for the scheduled Round 3 Clash.

Despite this the club has been able to secure him for the Round 6 Clash at Home vs Henley on Saturday May 19th.

The past players day and Sportsman’s Night have also changed to this date.

Tickets for the sportsmans night are only $20 with Mikey O as guest speaker and auctions on the evening.

We hope to see many past players, SNFC Supporters and general footy supporters to see the great man don the Green and Gold for one last time…

Sorry for any inconvenience…..
