Training will be only once a week every Monday up until 19th December 2011 and will strictly just be skill sessions.

Training will then recommence in the new year every Tuesday and Thursday starting on Tuesday 10th January 2012 at Mawson Lakes Hotel Oval.

Instead of the usual 'meet the coaches day' MLFC will be hosting a Golf Day in December for all existing players and potential new recruits to mingle and have a great day together.

As always new players are welcome so if you have anybody who may be interested feel free to PM me for more information.

Is the golf day only open to the excisiting players and potential recruits or are we all welcome???

Now thinking about it you must of booked Royal Adelaide with the amount of blokes Mawson Lakes have recruited ;)
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

Had to pick up some stuff last night in Ingle Farm after work and i couldn't understand y there were traffic attendants directing traffic off Montague rd into Belalie rd. After inspecting and asking a attendant what was happening, i was told Ingle Farm had started pre season and with the anticipated 1,165 recruits arriving they had organized attendants to ensure everyone got to training on time and in a civil manner.
Thought the Helicopters hovering overhead was taking it a bit far, but who am i to judge. Channel 7 had one of there live cross vans behind me in the traffic and must of been heading to the scene. The pure volume of traffic had caused a delay all the way back to Para Hills oval!
It is great to see a local, grass roots club who have had such successful seasons in the past couple of years, continue to grow and I wish them all the best in going thru what ever grade they demand to be in this season undefeated.
By the way, how did the first night go lol

Any word on when Round 1 may start?

Week before Easter, or week after?

looks like the week before easter at this stage.

However, because that's March 30 some clubs are having a hoo haa because their cricket clubs won't let them use the oval..

March 30 is cricket G.F. weekend I believe. That will rule a few grounds out that week. have round 1 the week after easter and there will be a lot less stuffing around. But thats probably too easy. A few people running this comp love making life harder than it needs to be

Not that it means much, but having R1 start the week before Easter means that the June long weekend occurs at the exact halfway point of the year. If R1 is the week after Easter, then R9 is the week after the June long weekend.

According to the newsletter out yesterday DIV3 to DIV8 and all C grades to start on 31st of March.
DIV1 and DIV2 starting 14th of April. Not sure how it will all end up at the other end of the season but perhaps they might look at having 3 different GF weekends in stead of 2 maximising use of Thebby.

Had a look at one of your training sessions and the boys were copping a fair flogging. Wasnt too much sh*ts and giggles, it looked like Bamf and assistants were really pushing the boys and good numbers for late November. Clearly pretty keen to make amenz for this year obviously.

Apologies, so is ASCA. Thought the secretary of the cricket club would know what he was talking about.
