Yes, that's correct.

A once off that is going to cost the host club, in my case, at least $50 over their bar (spent $100 at the last Div 4 GF I attended). The club people who go every week will still go, they're just doing themselves in when it comes to those who want to go but won't really care if they miss it.

Agree with Smac, i was going to watch Portland v Flinders Pk but have the option to got to a footy tips show. When i heard the price to get in on top of what i would spend. Im off to the footy tips show.

I was doing the same but not now, the SAAFL won't get my support.
Its unfortunate for the Kilburn F/C as they would of made a bit behind the bar not only from me but plenty more.

Footy Chick, yes you can call me a whiner aswell, all clubs make a sh!t load on alcohol & BBQ's, i bet Kilburn have to pay the SAAFL a fee for hosting it aswell so as far as i'm concerned i'm like alot of others $15 is a rip off.

Your getting ripped off. It's $5 during the season, $8 for finals though...

I'm all for $8 as i went to the Southern League G/F last year & had a great day.
Panther Pk got about $80 from me alone on food & drink last year.

Personally I think $15 is a bit steep as well but $10 isnt so bad - the clubs dont pay to have GF's, the grounds are decided upon by the league based on fencing, ground condition, facilites etc...

I just think all of us in the ammo's are a bit spoilt compared to the country leagues, that's all.

Maybe the country clubs don't have to pay calls of $5000 plus each year!!

The SAAFL should send someone to their GF this week and take note of how many food & drink stalls they have to cater for the people, and more importantly, how they don't run out of things by halftime.
They were still serving at the end of the game, people were standing around drinking and eating and probably some of the p...heads might still be there! ;)

Its like the SFL Grand Final Seagull, i went to last years & mate their was a huge crowd, plenty of food, drink aswell.
Put the Amateur League GF's to shame.

I don't think $15 would be too bad if you were able to bring in your own alcohol. Do other leagues let you bring in your own grog for the prices they charge?

So who gets the money in the country leagues ?? People pay $5 a week to get in, does that go to the host club or back to the association ?? Pretty sure if I was asked to pay $5 a week and I knew it was going to the club I'd be happy to pay if it meant we could pay players what the country teams do...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

In SFL the minor round $5 goes to the host club. In finals the money goes to the league.

Hills footy $8 throughout the whole year included finals! That includes the budget aswell! Pretty steep paying 15 beans to the GF I think!

Was $12 at Kilburn saturday and it looked like the fee didnt deter people from coming.

The food situation was no good though, ran out of all hot food in canteen by half time and the bbq had a line about 50m long and wasnt moving to quickly.
get on board the thunder train!!!

Would have paid $1000 to see my club win 2 flags on the weekend. Most leagues charge a hell of alot more than ours during the year. Stop whinging.
