Had a spare 30 minutes to have a flick through

Did Goodwood Saints merge with St Bartholomew (Page 2) as well as St Raphaels?

I wont comment on the PAOC write up other than what a fantastic summary of our 84 years in the SAAFL

I'm sure we played in the 2004 Grand final when we defeated Goodwood Saints but according to Ashley Salsibury North played in the Grand Final. I think it was 2008?

This book is one mistake after another what a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a disgrace that they are making us pay for it

Looking at some of the photos the league would have a very big bank balance from all the fines for incorrect uniforms especially when some of the photos are from 2010

I've seen many players this season wearing incorrect shorts & socks.
I guess the umps have enough on their plate to worry about other than players uniforms but they are missing out on plenty of $20 fines.

I don't mind the read, however the most obvious mistake I have found is that Eastern Park and their highest division played. The book reads D3........ I'm not the smartest bloke in the world but have Eastern Park not been in D2 for the past 2 years?
Ingle Farm have played higher than D5 and PHOS Camden have won a division 1 premiership , so why are they listed as playing no higher than D2?
I am very interested in the SAAFL and it's history, however I will not be using this book as a reference....

Westminster Old Scholars

It was only sheer hard work by a dedicated few that resurrected the Dragons in 1994

Must have sat around drinking beer for 6 years until they rejoined in 2000

why i the world would the saafl not have sent out a single copy to each club for proof reading. its pretty clear that there would be someone from every club that would have taken the hour or so to do it!? or would that be the smart thing to do?

everyone should just send back every copy, and refuse to pay for them. could have an end of year bonfire at thebby. ill bring the matches ;)

If PHOS Camden only played no higher than D2 than who did we play in the 2000 GF and can we claim the Flag then?

I reckon it's a good read.....
Much better than Harry Potter..... ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Is there any chance the people involved in this product would be looking at this thread or hearing the obvious mistakes, and maybe just maybe, taking a look at how embarrassing it is for them?
Other than that, its been a while since i've read a humourous book, can't wait to get my hands on this one.

I gather the book is no good. Is it the official centenary publication or is this just a preview to wet the appetites?

This is the real deal. The Centenary Edition. I wonder why the Introduction was done by the AFL CEO and the President of the Amateur League has not even got a mention or a write up  A bit like the Handbook at the start of the year  Can someone explain that or the reasons why both did not have the Presidents name or introduction. Seems very odd
