PS: I always thought D7 was the Scum...confusing :(

The Scum are the dregs of the club (figuratively speaking), it would make sense for them to be the lowest grade.

can recall a c grade coach [ a long time ago ] getting into strife for putting "SUPA C's" playing at RAM PARK on the thursday night team placings

Will be interesting to see what differing clubs do.

Write down your club name and your B grade team:

I'll start.

We also have our own "corner" named after us. Are there corners on an oval?

Iggies due to the Wolve is our mascot, therefore our C grade was called the Cubs. B grade called Bloods or just simply B grade

Seeing as it's called the South Australian AMATEUR Football League I can't see a reason why people would get offended with calling them the B's. 90% of the South Australian football public refer to the Reserves as the B's and it's vice versa in Victoria. I played in Mildura last year and I asked "How much for Subs" after I finished training on the first night and the B's coach looked at me puzzled and replied "What a footlong or a six inch"? (They call it rego) Cheeky prick  . Victorians have white "Behind" posts, kick bananas and drink s**t beer after games.
All in all I don't care what they are refered to by clubs, as a proud South Aussie i'll use my slang and if people complain that it makes the B graders sound second rate (Well what are they if they are not playing A's) that's their problem ;)
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

CK wrote:I'm not playing Amateurs, so sorry for barging in here, but an old (quite literally at the time) coach of mine insisted on calling them "the Reserves" and wouldn't allow the term "B grade" at the club, as he said that made that group sound like second class footballers, when they should be considered reserves for the lead team.

I tried a couple of years ago to instill the same mentality and after all these years they finally called them.....
The B Grade! Doh! You can't make a silk purse out of a pig's ear.
