Turk after the photo shoot do you think the player on the left, young Dion, can back up his "hottie of the year" title from last season? Rumor has it his mother took last years photos to work and got her work colleagues to vote, maybe a shot in the tiser is all he needs this year?

Test...dont think a still photo will get him over the line this year...maybe a 'truffle shuffle' on facebook would win more votes?? :D :D

and

What did you think of the Greenies players being "in the pink on Saturday"

Thought it was a great idea and well supported by everyone, ideally the Dragons would of got a win wearing pink to avoid the obvious pay outs! But other then the result was a great day and a fantastic idea, well done to everyone involved in making it happen.

What annoys me most about the " please explain " letter from SAAFL is the fact that they didnt do any leg work for this alledged breach.

If the story and picture had not been in the tiser those mugs would never have known about it. I have never seen or heard about anyone from SAAFL physically out checking the apparel that clubs wear (which is why they ran into trouble with Jax in the first place).

Just another case of 'big stick mentality'

Wasn't Jax Sports owed money from the Amateur League from last year & not a small sum?
Maybe its a way of paying them back.

I reckon it might be the other way round NM.

No agenda from this end Turk, I have no control over anything related to this but having been in the same industry for quite a few years, I do have some insight into how and what has happened in the past and am aware of what has happened in this instance. Suffice to say, maybe on the surface it appears that someone is being hard done by, but if we all take liberties ad hoc, what sort of a mess will the league finish up in? This same setup has been in the SANFL for many years, you don't hear their clubs bitching about it.
Whether we agree with the process or otherwise, that's what is in place and it's for the clubs to adhere to surely.

Congratulations and well done to Greenies for playing in those pink guernseys and raising so far $1400 for a worthy cause, why are amateur league so upset,is it that they didn't think of the idea and were unable to cash in on it and perhaps gain some exposure??.Leave it alone amateur league as I am sure you don't want bad exposure related to someone trying to do something out of the ordinary for such a huge charity as the breast cancer foundation.

Was that a tinge of sarcasm in your post turk?
Yeah we're travelling okay but can always do with a little extra, that's what business is about!
Doing it "by the book" is the way to go though. ps. we don't have an SAAFL license either!

As worthy a cause that breast cancer is, and good on Greenies for thier fund raising efforts, there are however a couple of things to consider here. Firstly, there are 5 companies, SPORTSCENTRE,GRAPHPAK,CUSTOM CORP,COMBAT AND
COUGAR SPORTS all have paid 6k each for the rights to sell league merchandise. secondly, thats 30k that clubs dont have to find
The fundraiser is admirable, but propper channels should have been used.
