As a country boy who just wanted to pose a question to garner some debate, you should listen to your own advice about hardening up. If opinions can't be sought anew, you should petition that no new users be let on the site. And if you don't think the topic worthy, perhaps you could find something better to do with your time.

I am a country lad aswell and it sh*ts me to tears the amount of bitching some players do about the amount of travel to play a game of footy.

this topic is one of my pet hates and the other is behind the play incidents so don't get me started on that either ;)

stfu yourself..if you play in country league expect to travel country distances..if we play in the city we shouldnt have to

Might be the only way Kenilworth will win a game. Play against the only 5 clubs around you and you might win a game or would not be relegated at least. Cant win when playing against clubs in your division so might as well get into a little group so you can win a game a season. Its a big wide world Zedman not just around St marys

That's right zed, you should expect to travel city distances. From Noarlunga to Elizabeth.

well if you think driving 40 mins for a game of footy is too far then maybe you shouldn't be playing footy. Christ it isnt even a six pack on the trip home :? ;)

stfu was probably a bit harsh heater so i apologise for that

this year we had 4 games that were over 45 minutes away and closer to an hour from st marys..i call 45 minutes and over slightly excessive..central united, smithfield, elizabeth and golden grove..throw in greenacres, ingle farm and rosewater who are all at least 30 minutes from st marys and you can see where im coming from ;)

when the saafl brings in marion, brighton, hallet cove, reynella, hackham, lonsdale, and morphy park, lets see who would be complaining eh ? :) (tongue in cheek)

You are the one looking foolish. Dont want to travel to play Football. Maybe you can start the Kenilworth & St Marys Suburban Football Association. Maybe join the SFL with Edwardstown. Maybe a special requirement into Tynte Street not to travel past Greenhill Rd. Sorry if that is going a bit far all the way down to Greenhill Rd. Maybe Kenilworth join all those clubs in the SFL you have had that many home grounds over the years another one wont make much difference

That's not that much more than anyone else is doing. Maybe an extra 10 or 15 mins every second week.

I never said you couldn't comment either. In fact, all I have said to you so far is that you should expect to drive city distances, what a city distance is, and that you don't drive much further than anyone else. Stop being so defensive.
