young billy parkes will be a player of the future for use, seems like a club man and doesnt mind a drink either. sensational skills and good balanceDon't know who is staying, good to have a break from us all talking about footy at the end of the year so no-ones really mentioned what their plans are. A few guys said they'd probably stay but it's a long time between now and April. There might be a couple who have another crack at league footy.
Should get Chugga our ruckman back this year from a knee recon as well as our captain Polky. These two should help enormously as we needed a ruckman this year and Polky is a tough midfielder with a good frame.
A lot of young players should develop for us over the next couple of years too. Guys like Billy Parks, Ricky Fox, the famous Vinnie and a couple of others are all 18-19 and have had a fair whack of A grade footy now. Billy played 19s at North and is incredibly agile and skillful, Ricky had a great finals series and played some awesome games in div 2 and Vinnie is the best runner in the club.
Everyone got along well so I don't think bonding was an issue. I think maybe we had a few wet weeks running up to finals and never changed our style of play back.
We only missed out on a GF by a couple of goals. So really we need to improve by about 5-6 goals as a team to ensure we make the GF and leave as little as possible to chance. A lot of the boys have been lifting weights so that should help. I really do think our main improvement will be from the young guys stepping up.

Golding will stay on as coach, he will co-coach with a guy who is affiliated with the SFL, previously coached at Reynella.
Looks like Salisbury will be staying put...

He'd need a lot more surgery than Sam to look respectable though...Lightning McQueen wrote:zedman wrote:Pag wrote:Hairy_Cat wrote:Have just spoken to a bloke from EFC, has been there a number of years. Shrek is a wealth of information. He's the "Sam Newman" of the amateur league.
