havens would be one of the best places to play if this was to happen!!!!
bit of work on the oval and possibly the best???

Is the opening and closing roof over the oval still awaiting council approval?? Brice metals to supply all materials for free?

sorry the opening roof is all speculation at this stage but if it was to happen im sure the happy and frindly staff at BRICE METALS would be more than happy to help us out!!!

no excuses from saturday, we were beaten by the better side. has it occurred to anyone that maybe we arent as good as what everyone was saying, including ourselves? the b grade though, that is a different story. we looked very impressive again, although cbc b grade are no world beaters. allegedly, they havent won a game for 3 years. does anyone know if thats true? if so, its a credit to the club that they can actually get a team together week to week. the next three weeks will see where the b's are at; our next 3 opponents are all in the top 5 also

hey sand man whats going to happen when the finals are played in shi**y conditions wind and rain are you guys going to play tough hard contested footy to try and win the game, or are you going to play the sh*t soft college footy you have produced in the last couple of weekends. football finals are tough hard games and if it is wet you need to go harder to make it happen, because you can not wait for a sunny day to play your fast running high marking game. soft sh*t

yeah ok. Is finding it difficult to adjust to the skill level of Div 4 ie getting into positions D1 footballers would spot every time. Slowly getting there each week and shouldn't be too far away from playing better footy.

Ha ha. Adjusting to the skill level of div 4? Is it that worse than divs 1R and 2R?

Your B grade very good, Mitcham may give you a challenge, but they are no where near the side they were last year. Mitcham's 2007 B grade versus PAOC 2008 B grade would be a fantastic match. I think you will easily account for Lutheran and Fitzroy though. We beat all three of them - we played exceptional against Mitcham, average against the other 2. I rate Fitzroy over Lutheran.

Yeah sandman. All the B grade idiots from down port way will have far more to say from the sidelines while sinking piss. This will definately affect the outcome of your games.

Who said the gap between skilled and unskilled players gets bigger in the wet? You idiot!

Just to let you know felch because you cant seem to get over it after reading what you wrote in the div three thread. I am not using the weather as an excuse for losing i am using it as a reason. It is something we need to improve on. All as i was saying was the weather brought us down to a level that unskillfull players enjoy.

i sort of understand what u r saying sand man
but really if u r a skillful player when it rains your skill level lowers
that is the same for someone who isnt that skillful to start with, they become worse again!!
so really a skillful side will still be better then a normal side in both wet and dry
the speed of the game will be the major change to the game!!
meaning the team that wants the ball more and is willing to go get it will be the better side!
get on board the thunder train!!!

Yes in contests on wet days the ball nearly always hits the ground. we train to go front and centre but then it gos behind the packs, Its a totally different game that we didnt adapt to well at all. As for skills being better still i dont agree with you on that. The game brings the players that mark with there hands down to the skill of players that can only mark on the chest. The kicking travels less and is very slippery of the boot its a condition that both teams have to deal with. Long story short not being able to kick long and strong and mark in the hands makes the game into that of a ground game and its all about stoppages and crumbing rather then a free flowing game where we can mark play on handball run kick, which is our style of football.

You sound like someone that is very jealous of our skills.
we will adapt to the wet weather footy by finals time. we cant try play the same way we play in the dry or we will have tomany turnovers from stuffing aroudn with the ball. less handballs and more kicking will help us play a more direct and effective style of footy in the wet. The wet weather gives opponents a chance against us, my question to you is what will you do to beat us come finals if it is a dry game. everyone can change there style of game but you cant magically become more skillfull

Sandman perhaps you and your footy club should then relocate to the Gold Coast and become a new AFL franchise that way you wont have to play in the cold wet conditions that your club hates so much. Dry your eyes Sand Man its a winter sport from time to time its going to be cold wet and windy. Me thinks there is a bigger problem here, princesses have never liked it when the heat is on and the pressure intensifies with more body contact, instead of talking about skills sandyman perhaps its your hearts that go missing. :finga:

I never said skills will be better
u r miss reading what was said
if u were to compare two players, one with better skills then the other
on a dry day the better player would win a contest
it is the same on a wet day,
all players must play in the same conditions whatever the weather will be
so really the better player will always come out with the ball, rain, hail or shine
as i said in my last post, wet weather will come down to who wants to put there head over the ball and get it!!
for saying u play front and centre but on wet days it goes over the back
anyone that has played for a few years knows this and it should be something that the player adapts to immediately, if not it should be something the coach says to u before a game!!!

i think it has been proven that in both types of weather u guys are very beatable sand man!!
get on board the thunder train!!!
