i can't believe the guy who bumped the 16 year old, didn't ask for ID before he bumped him. I reckon he may have pulled out of it, if he knew his age.

Smashed us by 30 goals and got on the lip all day. They Lost the GF to the Roo, and went to Div 3.
4 years later headed to Div 5.

Great post.

Despite not playing CBC at CBC in 2009 because of injury that was the most embrassing day of football I've probably been involved in, we got absolutely smashed and their crowd laughed at us and gave sh!t it to us all day. I was very glad PAOC won the GF that year, they smashed us too but from memory at least they respected us, not laughing us off the field or giving us lip.

Assuming that both of your clubs have remained in and around div 4 and 5 over those four years. How do you measure success?
Stayed in Div 3 for 3 years without clubrooms or money, we will rebuild and get back. will you?????
Cant remember the Northaven crowd ever being too accommodating to us, Also remember getting beaten by 20 goals under lights in a last quarter that went for 35 minutes.
Goes both ways, we will take it on the chin and go down to Div 5 if that's the case, and will continue to receive support from our feral crowd that we love.

Camera was involved in an incident on the weekend. Not sure how well it survived or the footage was effected
Play was close to the boundary and it spilled over to where the camera was.

What was with Heccies wearing a blue jumper on the weekend?

Given the game was played at Heccies and assuming it was a clash jumper, Shouldn't Plympton have been wearing a clash jumper being the away team?

Thought it was a tough contest and both teams gave plenty, yeah kid got hit up the front, wind knocked out of him, it was a good one, nothing sinister - the Noises were him trying to get breath in, Most people who have played hard have been in his shoes before and know what its like, it's never good to get hit flush, but he's a kid, he's got plenty of footy ahead, I'm sure he'll have a turn on the other end one day as well.

I do not know anyone at GG but if someone could pass on some feedback, I thought the oval layout was quite good, with the canteen and little area there a good place to watch the game. But, I have to mention that I was disappointed to see in this area an older GG supporter physically accosted a Pooraka players father who was watching because he had apparently encroached on the vantage point of his wife. Nothing came of this and the Match day official was quickly on hand to extinguish any tempers. Our president was also subject to a barrage of obscenities for stepping too far forward and blocking someone else's view.
I'm not a wowser by any stretch of the imagination and understand at the footy you give it and you cop it, but some consideration needs to be shown and perhaps some tolerance, even a little courtesy, if someone is in your way, you can ask them to move, if you ask politely I'd be surprised if they didn't move.

I'm not raising this as a pot shot at GG, more so a friendly heads up, I'm sure there are clubs out there with supporters out there that may not react as calmly and I don't which to enter a he said/she said debate Please feel free discuss this with the match day official and if there is another side of the story I'm happy to eat my words.
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

Not sure how bad the damage was. Professional recording equipment not cheap though. Including some analysis software, i think out about $7k. Not just a cheap handycam

I heard about this. As you said, let's not get into a he said she said but the version of of events i was told is vastly different to way things have been portrayed in your comment.
Without going into all the detail and doing my best to avoid a 'he said she said' my understanding is that a polite request was made by the lady in question. She was standing behind her chair to stretch her legs and someone stood in front if her/where she would have been sitting. From here a few pot shots were made at her. Her husband stepped in and asked again. Not sure if it was taken as a threat but things got mouthy from there and the match-day official intervened. I have no detail regarding any physical altercation.

I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Yeah and I'm still laughing at you - respect is earned not given out because you were not good enough on the day. We've been on the receiving end of plenty of floggings and abuse from crowds over the years from every club so nobody on here can take the moral high ground now - so suck it up princess, I'm sure you will get over it.

If I had my time again I'd laminate my birth certificate and tape it to my jumper because it sounds like I was conned into thinking I had to cop the same bumps as everyone else on the field when I was 16 playing A Grade.

I feel like such a fool.

Surely age doesn't come into it No.43 if the young lad is out there playing than he is to be treated like any other player out there as it is senior football. If we should treat players differently because of age can someone put out a note that as I am getting close to 30 now if all players could slow down a bit when running for the ball so I can keep up!

If you are selected to play especially in A grade then you should be prepared to accept physical contact to an extent. Older experienced players should not go around sniping the younger players and this should be frowned upon.

Don't see South Adelaide Supporters whinging about the treatment Caleb Daniel gets in the League team on the SANFL boards. The kid is 17 years old and barely 5 foot tall yet he is his team's best player at present.....
