If I was there watching the game without any affiliation to either club, that would have been one of the best B grade games Ive seen in recent times. I was in the back pocket for Haven though, so the last quater wasnt a great time for me.

Being round 1, its hard to know where we're at because Glenunga are a bit of an unknown until they've played a few more teams. Our side is young, and hopefully the maturity will come throughout the season, because when it does, we're going to be a great team. Having said that, we arent there yet, and its going to take time.

Speaking with someone i know from Glenunga he said that NH were very unlucky not to take the chocolates and deserved to win. Well drilled and spread really well for a B grade side.

Demonseye,my best tip for the weekend is keep your money safe from the TAB and spend it on the drink specials at the Gateway saturday after the games ;) PS it will be good to see you back at the Valley even if it is as an opposition coach :o

There didnt seem to be any bias towards either team from either of the umps, and they didnt effect the score at all.

Yeah good point H, have to agree with you there. The worst decision of the day came from the boundary umpire, who called the ball out when it was still in play by at least a metre. (I'm pretty sure you were involved in that passage of play with a brillant spoil and follow up.) The whistle went and every player in that area of the ground stopped and cracked it, those type of calls frustrate the hell out of you.

I've heard a few stories about Eagles coming back to NH over the past few days, I don't think anyone really knows what he is doing, seems to change his mind constantly. I'll believe it when I see it, if it happens.

Great game to watch but a very empty feeling at the end.

Miegel....freaking unit. Funny seeing a guy who stands clearly a head above his opponents and is very agile for a man his size.

How did Schoefield go?

Schoefield didn't do a lot...kicked 1 good goal but apart from that nothing to write home about. Will probably take him a couple weeks to adjust to the pace of the footy and his new team mates.

Yeah, it was a magnificent play my me, I must admit

It was at least a meter inside the line, and I do think Tez shouldve overruled the boundry umpire, but because hes a young kid, backed his decision. The kid was pretty far away, so cant blame him for thinking it was out. If the boundry ump was older, I probably wouldve had a crack at him, but at the end of the day, its a game, and Im not going to rip into a kid for one bad decision. He's been doing a great job so far this year.
