I played for the opposition in that one Ace. Premiership, thanks to a certain ring-in from Norwood late in the season (who happened to get drafted that year) all you would of had to do is sit back and watch
It appears it may still haunt you LMA. You blokes were nearly 3 goals up at 3/4 time and your supporters were 'dancing in the streets'. I reckon we kicked 7 or 8 in the last quarter.
That "ring in" played all but 2 games at Gepps Cross that year after coming into the club preseason looking for a game and if my memory is correct, didn't figure in the 4 best players on the day.
Must admit, he could play though and did make things look easy!

My memory must have eluded me, we are talking about Gepps vs Districts ? or was that the year where they had winners of their geographical divisions playing off in a super GF, if you will ? Anyway I do remember Heuskes kicking around 12goals in the second semi, so we double manned him in the GF but geez I don't remember being 3 goals up, I thought we got pasted (if talking about the same game)

Nominations from your club and opposition club's players that have caught your eye, i'd trust our selections would be a lot more accurate than the SAAFL Team of the Year nominations.

I know we will finish bottom but PNU would have one dead set certainty in Adam Rowett. Has been outstanding all year and has polled very well on the internet votes. He will win the PNU B+F from Chris Radetti in second who has also had a solid and consistent year. Then with a gap to third that would be bigger than my ex wifes tuna village, the only other PNU rep who may consider themselves a chance would be Nick Jolly. Has kicked 30 odd goals playing mainly up forward. Innacuracy in 2010 will prevent him from being considered as a genuine contender for team of the year.

Roey has had some influence in improvement too, but nowhere near enough to rate as highly as Neil.
In 2008 (Jason's 1st year)the team that we had was the best ever assembled by Gepps Cross yet couldn't get any further than 5th. Since then, there has been no improvement in finals appearances and that's what our club's improvement is gauged
on. .
This can be blamed on anyone you want to blame it on, but facts speak for themselves.

i agree neil must of been great for the club, but you have underestimated jasons record as tontos post suggest. i just dont like the way a coach gets kicked for 1 bad year which still has hopes for finals. pretty tough comp that div1 and doesnt take much to be beaten if you are off the boil. well you boys got your wish anyway hope your next coach doeesnt take you to final 2 yrs in arow and then slides on the 3rd.
