SAAFL Div 4 2008

Somebody told me this saturday night so I don't know how true it is but when Districts played them in Div 2 a few years ago they struggled during the middle of the season because about 5 players were away,skiing. I have heard of this happening with CBCOC aswell. Could be just an urban myth though.

Have heard a similar story too ouzo. Also heard that to practise for when the snow falls they car pool to games in the BMW and have three blokes sit in the back and the guy in the middle practise using his ski poles. Could be just an urban myth though!

The first part could be an urban myth but the second statement is definitely true. It can get messy though when they practice the moguls on the speedbumps at the Marden Shopping Centre

Just winning again.... i bet they're already preparing themselves for div 3 next year.
The weather didnt suit our superior skilled team this week. We arent worried though we know when to play our best footy come finals time.
Everyone seems so cocky now, i didnt say a word when we were flogging all your sides. I cant wait for the end of the year to see where all the rest of you finish. North Haven cant say a word about being soft after there dismal effort against us at the start of the year.

PAOC had at least a couple of outs, Waltham and Philips both didnt play.

unlike you guys felch we dont use injuries as an excuse. they arent big losses we will bounce back the crap weather always brings the crap clubs closer to the talented clubs

The weather wouldn have suited them buckets, cos someone would have to go in and get a contested ball or even get onto their knees in the bottom of a pack to pick the ball up and we all know that would never happen!! The last time anyone from their side went near a pack was at their Wednesday night Canasta tournament!

yes the weather didnt do us well as it slowed us down to the same pace as the rest of you. when there is good weather you will see the strong grabs and contested wins we have due to us having the best skill in the league.

so the taller marking players around the ground arent effected iron fist? or the smaller players that take grabs. the faster players arent effected are they fist? hmmmmm in all contest wether its a marking contest or a ruck contest the ball hits the ground most of the time alot more than on a dry day. nearly every stoppage or contest the players are fighting for the ball on the ground. its alot harder to grab a wet ball than a dry one. kicking and handballing is harder also.

Felch think about how stupid your comments sound. wet weather effects the cleaner sides so much. with out the run and clean skills it makes the game a sloppy stoppage game, which brings the scrubbers like you district sides into the game.
