Especially seeing that PH would/could possibly have the best lights in the league to play under. Correct me if im wrong XR but even if it was from a grant that means money is able to be spent or saved elsewhere. Doesnt matter how much or where they spend it as long as they account for it and end up like some of the northern clubs earlier in the year.

When you get a govt grant ALL of the money allocated to you has to be accounted for, if Para Hills were in the position of handing out big coin I reckon they would've tried enticing Hanson to stick around a bit harder.

I dont think PH could match the $1200 a game he's reportedly getting.

Take it from me bulldogs your way off the mark & know nothing!!!! Someone from PH works with his old man, and after weeks of his old man complaining how annoyed & pissed off he was with the way he's been treated @ I/farm. He sounded out PH in regards to next year..
Then he came down to the hills to talk & was told they couldn't offer him $$$. Since then he's been running around telling everyone we're chasing him & offering money??? He also said he'd come train this week & was a no show, since have heard he wants to stay @ the farmers so he can win the association medal... sounds like a team player?

I wouldn't think they'd have to, Hanson is somewhat loyal, if that figure is correct it would be pretty hard to refuse, $600 per hour would be very handy for anyone.

It seems to me that even loyalty has a price these days.

I also hear on the grapevine that Hanson has already been sounded out for next season from a rival club in the Western Border League, prepared to match and plus some on his current payments. Quality player and you cant knock him for going where the money is.

Let's face it Freddy, that sort of coin goes a long way mate, it wont be there forever, I'm sure he'll be back at the Hills to finish off but you'd be mad not to take it, if he didn't touch it he could buy a brand new car by the end of the season.

Heard the same rumour, and would not surprise me if he started it himself. Heard players and support staff getting sick of his attitude. Telling the runner to F off and not leave the ground is not a good thing. Good luck to any club that pays him .Told him there is no I in team and he repied "no, but there's 7 in individual brilliance". Yet to prove himself in a decent team or comp.

A very spirited and much improved performance from the boys this week
The scoreboard doesnt really show how close the game was.
Cracking first half, with Mitcham jumping out the blocks and controlling the first quarter kicking 7 goals for the term and leading by 4-5 goals at the 1st break. Para Hills got on top and controlled the second quarter and I think the scores were level at halftime.
Unfortunately we couldnt sustain the pressure after the break and were down by 4 goals at 3/4 time and to lose by 12 goals was a disappointing finish to an otherwise good game.
Thought Thachy, Bamford and Rebbeck were the best 3 for us today.
No real standouts for Mitcham today apart from maybe 17, they shared the workload pretty evenly and in the end overran us.
Big game next week v Pembroke. hopefully string together more then a half of footy this week

by the sounds of it you only really played 1 qtr of footy, and seeing mitcham had an extra 23 scoring shots i think you where lucky to only lose by 13 goals

Saw the Portand v CBC game today, another game where the scoreboard didnt really show a true indication of how close the game, especially after halftime. We were all over them in the first half, but CBC had a real crack after the break. I think they got within 3 goals at one stage, either late in the 3rd or early in the last. I actually thought CBC played the better footy after halftime, our defense of Granleese, Prior, Oates and Upton managed to hold them out time and again though. I thought Robby Wilson gave Pilichiwicz(?) a bath on the wing, and Laslett was his usual hard-working self. Puccini was in and under all day for CBC, and played well.

Some thoughts on A Jarman, surely there is a younger player who would benefit from having his A grade spot. Jars was pretty ordinary today, especially early. Now, this is an unbias opinion because im a huge fan of the Jarmans - they were my childhood heroes, but from an outside view, i wonder how much good Andrew is to the side. I understand what he can add, as far as teaching some of the younger guys, etc, but couldnt he do that in a coaching/training role ? CBC are a well-organised, well-coached unit that just lack a couple of extra quality players. Im not sure Andrew Jarman is the answer. Just my 2 cents worth.
