Glad that after a good win by your club the first thing you think off is having a cheap shot at us, no worries mate

I see your point Informer but if you put things like that out there your setting yourself up to be knocked over and with the situation that IF and Mawson lakes went through pre season I would've thought this was always going to come out mate.

Exactly right, pull your head in Informer, write stupid shit like that it's always going to comeback at some point to bite you in the arse! Wasn't a dig at Mawson Lakes as a club just a friendly jab at Trav and Knowles.

On a serious side note, hope Trav is ok, he is a good bloke and a quality player and Mawson Lakes as a whole look a good club, good depth and great blokes - the B grade were serious good, we know how important that win was!

I went to Fitzroy today with a few mates to see Harges line up for the Lions.
The B's was a close contest with Angle Vale having a heap of A graders line up for both grades so they could field the 2 sides, awesome effort by those blokes to make sure there wasn't a forfeit =D>

In the 2nd 1/4 I saw one of the funniest things I've ever witnessed on a footy field, one Angle Vale player tackled his team mate in a close in contest, to the amusement of the crowd, holding the ball was payed against them.

Angle Vale opened the scoring in the A's, after that it was all the Lions, IIRC, 69 points up at 1/4 time with Harges having slotted through 5 by the 1st break.

The 2nd was more of the same until about the 17 min mark when Harges took a mark at 1/2 forward and the ump's realised Angle Vale had a man down lying on the outer wing, I'm not sure how long it took but must have been at least an hour for a Ambulance, then a Paramedic to arrive and stabalise him to transport him, the rest of the 2nd 1/4 was canned and the match finally resumed at the start of the 3rd 1/4 at about 4:10pm, I think I heard the last 2 quarters had been shortened by a couple of minutes each, it was pretty dark with the lights on when the final siren sounded after 5:15. The man all the North boys went to see finished the day with a lazy 11 goals, not bad for a bloke close to 40.

I hope the fella from Angle Vale is ok, it's a bit of a worry when they have to spend that much time stabalising them.

yeah, not good for the young fella. still cant feel his legs & was told he'll be in hospital for a couple of months.
he has about 5 bulged discs in his back so looks like surgery for him. has been told he wont play footy again.
still need the swelling to go down to see if there is any real damage, will have to wait & see.
rang him yesterday and he seemed not down, so we're all being positive for him.
the umpires rang him as well to see how he was which was a good gesture from them.

Blimmin beck. Anything as a football community that we can do? That's terrible news.

thanks morell, probably do a few fund raisers for him cause he's also been told he cant do his line of work anymore as well (carpenter).
but he was pretty positve for us to get stuck into the units this week at home. dont really want to use that as motivation but will be in the back of the players minds this week.

This is also why Angle Vale pay their insurance fees . That would be the first area I'd be exploring...

like the wranger bar kid said next three weeks are huge for ingle farm this will give them some indication on where they are at one thing they must remember is they need to step up a gear now after playing below par and average sizes these next 3 sides will apply a lot more pressure

Good game of footy against Rosies Saturday. They got away early to a 4 goal lead. We pegged them back a few times to get within a kick, but just couldn't grab the lead. No1 and No20 for them go alright and their ruckman is good but doesn't take overhead grabs around the ground. For all the "hype" about the place for them I think they are beatable.

What odds will you give me that they go through undefeated?

I think Craig is putting on a brave face for you mate, from what I've read on FB and heard he is pretty down and understandably so. He has a good support base around him which will be critical over the next few weeks.
All the best to the young fella, I'm pretty sure that he's not even 18 yet.
