If you're 50/50 to make finals then you could effectively schedule a twilight or night game towards the end of the season and just have your whole B grade have a few hours rest then double up again at night and nothing will be said by the league. If you ain't got enough players don't have a C grade, simple!!

Trouble is that you may have 90+ players in February which soon becomes 60 odd come June/ July.

True but you're allowed 25 in the C grade comp doesn't mean you have to use them all. Kilburn started with 18 on Saturday and had 7 Div 3R players rock up at 1/4 time to play the rest of the game, just don't think it's fair. Wouldn't be able to do it in finals so why now?

I used to do that a long long time ago when I was fit. Didn't have a great impact on the game coz I was absolutely nackered from playing the previous game, but the only thought in my head was to help the lower grade out with the numbers.

I dont see what the issue is?

Neither do I, at some other clubs they would let the c grade play with15 blokes on the field :?

But players dropping down do help out, don't they?
You don't have to have a massive impact on the game to have an impact.
I've seen plenty of big blokes just drop down to the forward lines - a club can't match up on them all of a sudden and goals are scored.
The arrival of several B graders to provide a bench means players can be rested when needed, or even be replaced completely if injured.
Shouldn't be allowed for mine.

Congrats to Woody Sth on their 1st win for the year with it being a free flowing game played in good spirits & they have the monkey off their back & will be competitive for the rest of the year.

Is a pretty close Division when sides can put full teams on the park & with Plympton being the stand out team i think that every other spot in the Top 5 is up for grabs still which is good for footy.

Our boys have dropped the close ones against Teams currently below which could be costly come finals & long season ahead still...
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

what frustrates me is players that commit on a thursday night then dont show up on the Saturday which makes it harder to compete against the opposition especially when you have less rotations and to rest players.

Seven goals against the breeze set the pace.
From my understanding, the injury count was two broken ribs, a hamstring, a broken leg and a horribly broken finger - all for Lockleys.
Hope those blokes are getting on okay - nasty stuff.

Good hospitality by the Demons too - first drink free after the game.

Found out last night we also copped a broken foot :(

you both can be the team to beat
the c grade coach showed me the list of players who will most likely to play c's, seemed like some decent numbers, but like every other side you won't really know what you'll have til the thursday before round 1.
very much looking forward to continue are tussels with elizabeth this season, always a good game.
we certainly don't want nor deserve the team to beat title SD, elizabeth and Fitzroy can have that  dont forget Uni, always tough...

that's ok- I heard it's not 100% today, when yesterday I thought it was.
Should go ahead though, as Fitzroy have offered to play early at Lockleys

I swear that place is freezing all year round too. I've ventured there on a somewhat warm day only to be hit by the icy breeze once out of the car.
