Went up to the Valley yesterday and saw a very good game of footy. Eugene Warrior was the difference, he did as he pleased and probably had 40 disposals. Well done SN.

Agree with what i good see the bbq, warrior best by a mile. Gepps had more scoring shots and maybe missed Troy Gibbs in the middle. Was a very good game of football.

Played about 4/5 games, but was on holiday on the Gold Coast. His partner booked it when he was not going to play this year!! He has never played in a grade final before, i was told.

Pretty good crowd for the first game, Really died off for the Flinders Pk v Adel Uni game though. Anyone know the reason behind having the C1 game first?

Probably 'cause FP people hate travelling any further west than South Road. Something to do with their "upbringing" but I did see Adelaides #1 umpire there in his FP shirt.
Took a while to recognize him with a Demon Juke's snag burger smeared across his face, could only see the "ginger head"

word is the premiership coach is moving on, might take a few with him.
I'm told the celebrations consisted of 3 cartons & some snags given to them, but not to be consumed at the club, go elsewhere so they went to coaches house to party.

After such a dissapointing exit for the A+B,s you would think the club would have relished and embraced the Premiership success  Thats a bit dissapointing for those boys who worked so hard for their premiership. It is also often bantered around on the Div 1 thread how generous some of the renumeration is to some of the A grade players. 3 slabs and some snags would run you about $140. Thats less than one match payment for most of the A graders. If that is infact the case im sure several of the Hawks Premiership heroes would have been extremely dissapointed with the lack of support and recognition. It may not be an A grade flag but its still a flag none the less

A WISE MAN ONCE SAID TO ME...NEVER REACT EMOTIONALLY, ALWAYS LEAVE 24 HRS B4 YOU RESPOND ON ALL MAJOR DECISIONS.
SO IVE DONE THAT. IM NO LONGER A COACH OF A RIVAL DIV 1 CLUB AND IM NO LONGER HOLDING ANY FORM OF OFFICIAL CAPACITY WITH THE SAAFL. SO I MAKE THE FOLLOWING COMMENT WITH A FAIR AMOUNT OF CONSIDERATION.........
IF THE PREMIERSHIP WINNING SALISBURY NORTH C GRADE WAS NOT INVITED TO CELEBRATE THEIR UPSET C1 WIN AT THEIR FOOTY CLUB THEN LETS PUT THE C GRADE IN THE SHITTER. C1 IS OF COURSE THE EQUAL OF THE DIV 6/7 A GRADE AND THEY PLAY EACH OTHER ACCORDINGLY.
I HOPE WHAT HAS BEEN REPORTED ON THIS THREAD EARLIER IS IN FACT INCORRECT BECAUSE IF IT IS NOT ITS A MASSIVE KICK IN THE GUTS TO THE 69 DIFFERENT GUYS I USED THIS YEAR LET ALONE THE OVIES BOYS WHO BATTLED RELEGATION, THE NTH PINES BOYS WHO BATTLE TO KEEP A CLUB ALIVE AND THE OTHER 5 TEAMS. PERHAPS THE SALIS NTH BOYS DID NOT GET THE RECOGNITION THEY DESERVED BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT EVERY TEAM YOU PLAYED IN 2010 WANTED NOTHING MORE THAN TO BEAT YOU AND WE COULDNT..............
MY FINAL SAAFL POST FOR 2010 ONCE AGAIN IS SALIS NTH 2010 PREMIERS CONGRATS, TOO GOOD AND WORTHY WINNERS..................RESPECT TO YOU C GRADE HAWK BOYS. YOU WILL HAVE A MEDALLION FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE (and i KNOW none of you got paid a cent)

Yeah, good point, but there was one huge difference. All year these guys remained involved, coming to presentations, spending some money inside the club, not outside with their own eskies.
Some would say "you reap what you sow"! Cultural differences were massive.

granted, no doubt there wasn't much support in either direction, and we won't go into the blame game here, just a pointless exercise.

However to tar us all with the same brush isn't right... i, for one regularly ate and drank (albeit coke) at the club... anyway past is past and i was just havin a stir...

Looking to Next year at Ovies i hope the SAAFL think about where they put us, we would be more suited to a c4/5 or something similar, at least then we would be competitive and be able to draw some more players to fight off extinction again... actually getting a bit sick of it!!!

I know you were hence the retort! You and a couple of your mates were the exception NG but unfortunately, if enough mud gets thrown, some of it will stick.
Couldn't agree more with you on the "either direction" part, the instigator of that was sent packing too!
I hope you guys can get going again next season with all the right people in place plus enough players to cover what needs covering with injuries etc. FGS don't give any of the critics anymore reasons to bag either Ovies or the SAAFL for giving blokes a game of footy.
