Uni chokers?
I guess they'll just have another crack again next year... in C4....

have a sook punky, that is their F's essentially.
they cant really play any higher, sort your A's out and go up and then you wont have to worry about them! ;)

of course they could play higher- considering it just "a bunch of mates that want to play together", they'll have no qualms in taking on another Uni side in the same Div, that are also just "a bunch of mates that want to play together"...

Yeah I wouldnt say they chocked, the conditions were tough and I think we handled them much better. Was a fantastic game to be involved in and to get away with a five goal win in those conditions was even better. We kicked goals when we had the wind that Uni did not, our boys were really pumped for it before the game and I think it showed because we kicked 3 goals to a couple of points in the first quarter which really was the game in the end. Great day for us, not so great for the D grade, better day for the club to get to Div 3, at the end of the day that is the most important part the rest is just great icing!

i'd imagine that a few of them will punk. you just dislike their speed and youthful vigour :)

we'll also go around again in div 2, 2res, div 6 and 6 res (i'd suggest rather than div7), c2, c5 and possibly elsewhere as we're looking at eight teams.

i've watched and umpired many a c4 game and many of those uni players would struggle to play higher - results for the club have been uniformly good with four sides in the gf this week and the a's being beaten by 2 points in extra time in the prelim.

congrats to golden grove who played the conditions very well and deserved to win in the end.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

Thanks finn, you do have some players in that side that could play higher and do well but thats just my opinion. Tough going down by 2 points in the A grade, if I am honest everyone outside of Uni had a chuckle about that on Saturday night, they are the team we all love to hate. Best of luck in your C2 game this week.

This season was an interesting one & hopefully the SAAFL can make some changes to make at least every 'C Divisions' a 10 team competition (or 9 minimum) as this year was a bit of a shambles with the fixture (not the teams involved)

Every team had 4 byes through out the year plus the long weekend off was very frustrating.

But the results are true.

With the best player in the C4 winning the medal.

The best two teams in C4 played in the GF.

The Premiers being the best side for most of the year.

Most of the games havent been blow outs with all games being competitve & hopefully the rest of the clubs can find a bit more consistantcy to push these top sides on a regular weekly basis next season.
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!
