Mawson Lakes are as follows:-
Feb 19th - Brahma Lodge @ Brahma Lodge
March 20th - Hackham @ Hackham
March 28th - West Croydon @ West Croydon

Modbury C grade will have a trial against TTG and possibly Gaza with the D grade players who want to have a trial playing through the C grade with some C's playing higher if that makes sense..... ;)

i think we are a 90% chance of playing in this Div next season and it should be a good challenge. We will have better depth as a club this year so we should be able to compete well

New coach down C.U must be doing something right, confidence is through the roof, they even throwing the word Premiership around

Would have thought they would wait until they actually played a game

I've been hearing the same thing out of their camp...they're very confident on a good showing in 2010.

Also got told last night all their Smithfield recruits may now not be heading down there, don't know how true it is.

I guess we'll find out Monday, I'm sure they'll get at least 10 from us.

Their coach was our 18's coach from the last two seasons, he is also a life member at Smithfield. Yes, it is basically a heap of 18's from last season and a few others, I'd say there's probably about 20 that are either going or contemplating going.

Don' you just Life Members who decide to pack up and try and try to rip the club apart - especially ones that don't get their own way

I think that every club thinks of trial games as just that... a trial.
See how certain players work in certain positions and different setups work and to really just get the smell of deep heat back into the lungs!

The coach was unsuccessful in his bid for our B grade job for 2010 so he took the Central United job. It's catch 22, if you change clubs you are always going to try and take some players with you. We've had it happen twice now in 3 years, we just have to build a bridge and move on. Personally, I couldn't even bring myself to apply for a role at another club.

We're travelling ok have been getting close to 40 out to training since we've come back from the break and still have quite a few regulars who haven't made the trek out to pre season yet...pretty confident of being able to fill 2 sides comfortably for the trial.

Looking forward to the trial gives myself a chance to see some of our new guys in action and for them to get amongst the team atmosphere nice and early....we're using it & treating it as a chance to improve our fitnes levels even more plus who wouldn't rather play a game than running around an oval all night :D
