From all reports he's gone from there too.

So Johno I'm assuming you're the Warwick Capper-esque full forward in the two's on the weekend? Bet you're wishing you could've taken Sammy Peucker's shot from the goalsquare?

warwick capper? what u mean by that... the shorts were size medium.. just the jumper is huge. but yes that was me, and yes i wish anyone had the shit from teh square... altho i kicked like 4.5 so prob prefer someone but me to have the shot

and mitch is alot better than half decent, i was just implying how average simon johnson was at our club...mitch has been brilliant

He is a very good coach Mitch and was a prefect candidate for your club. Good to hear is staying on i think under a new coach the young side would have been set back a little bit. As the young guys i know from the burras love him as a coach

I was just having a joke mate, was the first thing I thought of when I got to the ground and saw the blonde hair coming out of the goalsquare. Felt really bad for Sammy when he missed that shot, he needed a hole to open up that he could fall into.

I listened to the 1/4 time huddle, Mitch spoke really well, seemed to analyse the game and knew a bit about the opposition as well. I know a couple of guys (not at your club) who speak very highly of him.

i think sammy has been pretty down on himself last few weeks, his form hasnt been great of late... but we know he is capable of alot better..he was a big part of our season and gettin to the GF
that poster in teh goal square summed up our goal kicking all day tho..
thats what ill be practicing my goal kickin over the break. it couldve cost us a few games during the season.

i kicked a goal with 2 mins to go.....
then one of our players probably kicked it where and when he shouldnt have instead of holding up the play, turnovere goal... hurt pretty bad

that being said that didnt cost us the game.... few other things didnt help, some guys werent very discliplined also... few down the grounds and 25 penalty's

Simon Johnson was terrible, he made a lot of people leave the club and some players reverting to playing C grade to get away from the monstrosity he called coaching!

Johno coached us for a year at Hope Valley. He used to address the players at the huddle with his kid on his arm and every second word started with F or C. His favorite saying was "im not here to make friends". There was no chance of that. Absolute spanner!

the poster was early in the last quarter though at a crucial time..
but as johno said you cant put it down to one moment in a game..especially when you kick 7.13

our third quater was brilliant again, but we had a bit of a fade out in last term, did some stupid things, made some bad decisions and its very costly.... last 2 years weve been pretty in accurate in front of goals...

He's not leaving. I thought that had been made fairly clear in all these posts ??

I'm insulted by that.... I quite like beetroot....
He is not even worthy of that name..... 'Impact Coach' he called himself.... I'd like to impact a hard pointy object into his skull for what he did to our club !!

All GG posters can categorically dispel all rumours. Mitch will be there next year. 100% certain. From the mouth of the president, mitch himself, and his mrs.
Only reason i included the last bit as many of the rumours surrounded his young family.

Couldnt be more happy to have him on board.
