Well that’s good to hear. Besides I couldn’t see players from either club exiting and making the change, completely different cultures at both clubs! Portland seam to play to their division & Haven act as if they are playing AFL. Very strange diffenence considering how close together they are.
ouzo666 wrote:Mate, that is just rediculous maybe you should stay true to your name and not say anything at all. I think you'll find that the image bestowed upon North Haven, and that is our name "NORTH" Haven, has been created by everyone and anyone that does not have an ounce of anything to with the club. The amounts of money being banded around that everyone thinks we have is utter crap, yes some players get paid because were not happy to sit in div 4 for the rest of the clubs history. Truth of the matter is that to get quality footballers into a lower Div a little carrot is a nice incentive. No one would come from a higher division to any club in div 4 based on name and reputation. If anyone says that their club doesn't pay anyone at there club in DIV 4 they are kidding themselves there's always a couple at least. There wouldn't be one North Haven player talking the club up in any pub on the peninsula A. because we haven't warranted it and B. because everyone else wants to do it for us.

Seeing as though your rambeling had zero to do with my origanial statement, and by the way you are the only one that seems to have a problem with it, i will not bother going down this path with you. You say that you dont talk up the club and the money it spends on poaching players, by saying and i quote "because everyone else wants to do it for us" so why are you going on about it.

It was a response to the whole cash haven/acting like we are in the AFL. I'm pretty sure that there are a couple of north haven people on here and we have never blow our own horn. Everyone else wants to talk about how much cash we have etc.

Why can't everyone talk about it. No-one ever criticised Nth Haven for blowing their own horn, just for spending a lot of cash perhaps unwisely. It's fair to talk about that regardless of whether people in the club brag about it or not.

How much money do you have?

Felch, are you sure your bases are covered because talks between North aka Ca$h Haven and some main PFC players are stepping up a little. Beginning with meetings at the club as early as next Tuesday. I still don’t believe that any players will go, but what will Portland do?

Why bother having a meeting with another club if there's no chance of leaving Portland?

No idea, only that they obviously featured high in the B&F, otherwise why would they be after them.

If its your club you should know them!

I know of one of our guys meeting with Haven, he told me that he has agreed to meet with them.
I think you will find its more out of courtesy to the person who rang him.
To be honest, if guys will jump ship at the sight of a bit of cash, then they arent the type of guys we want anyway.
Like i said SB, we are aware of things happening.
Pretty confident that our guys are loyal, well the ones that matter anyway.

I think it's courteous to say thanks but no thanks on the phone rather than wasting everyone's time with a meeting. I think you'd rarely find anyone having a meeting with a club unless they were considering that option.

Finding out what's on offer, finding out Haven's plans...all points to considering going there. If you are 100% to a club, you don't meet with others.

Don't pretend they're really on a covert mission to find out about Haven. Would never work, ridiculous idea.
