Yeah, I don't mind the way it's been done with the triple headers (in a lot of grades from the look). It does promote a bit more unity for the clubs as opposed to ringing up someone after your game to get a run down of the other game. Having said all of that we are one of the clubs with the triple header so make of that what you will. But I can see why it has been done.[/quote]

If that is the case and Mawson lakes finished top and won the first final, would it of been more logic to play a triple header closer to them? Say Hope Valley or Salisbury?

Possibly, I was just commenting on the triple header situation. Really the game is at 2pm and we're in Adelaide. Realistically it's probably an extra 15-20minutes to get to the ground? It's not like we're talking about West Coast having to play a home final at the MCG or something! There were probably factors that we wouldn't be privy to with regard to the scheduling of games. ie umpires for early games etc etc.

Make sure they dont have their own team meeting friday night at the Gully also

Mate it's amateur footy FFS! If they want to have a drink the day after a good win I think they're entitled to it. Nothing wrong with a good bonding session.

Nonetheless, can't see how it would have any impact on a game being played a week later.

I don't see anything wrong with a team getting together for a beer a week before they go in to battle for a Premiership medallion, sounds like a tight knit unit getting ready to make amends for last season.....Good luck Riddler, hope you get the result you've been aiming for

I agree with you Old Farmer, a quiet beer together as a group grand final week is a good thing. Helps settles nerves and gives the boys a chance to relax a little before the hype and preperation later on in the week. Being an ex scholar myself, Thumbs up and good luck Ridddler :-bd

They had plenty from the drafted copy. Mawson Lakes, Modbury, Flinders Park, Adelaide Uni, Adelaide Lutheran, Goodwood, Woodville South and even the Adelaide Crows complained about the first copy of finals. The only club that was happy with it was SHOC.

I've heard one of your B graders Matthew Wood is leaving Para Hills and taking a few mates with him. Not sure how good he is or his mates but just something i've heard around the traps.
I wish I was as good a cricketer as what Phantom tells me he is

Wouldn't suprise me if Matt Wood was going back, his family are well involved with the club, and he played there the couple years previous. He is handy, but issues with his shoulders, reads the play well but more importantly he is well respected, and if he plays at the club, might be just the thing to keep his younger brother and some of the 18s kids around the club.

I've heard rumors of a couple of former players who have been linked to a return, exceptional players.
I think Ingle Farm need to recruit heavily and a good standard, this is the lowest ebb in the clubs proud history, there is no lower they can go from here, they need to begin the tough struggle back up the grades and build that respect back up again.

Matthew Wood has signed with Ingle Farm, was one of the first from our club to. He played a few A grade games this year, very very good backman. Big bonus for the Farmers. Knowles seems to be on the right track early!
