A perfect example of a previous post from BUCKETTS, if that was a father from a district club ie(especially Nth Haven) the SAAFL surely would of handed down a fine if not stripped the club of the 2 points and the club would be a on a tightrope for the rest of the year. Bullshit you say, tell me out there if any teams coach has been suspended for 12 games for playing an unregistered player with the coach in question having no prior record with the saafl?

Im sure it would have been a different story if it was a portland dad running onto the ground
the match official seen it aswell
obviously he didnt think he needed to report it by the look of things
we will just see if a similar thing happens this season and what the outcome is!!
that will prove if buckets is right or not!!!

i agree that the contact to the player was late, but the young man did not deserve the attention from your "young champion boxer" that he got. What would you do as a father? i know myself i would not hesitate. maybe if the association found out that a champion boxer was going around bashing players in the B grade they would not take it to kindly. maybe this could solve all problems and prevent use from sooking

If PAOC had any sort of dignity or self respect, they would impose a ban on the oval invader, once one person goes onto the field, it opens the door for others to enter, before you know it, there's all sorts of chaos.

Who really gives a toss how hard people can hit a bag, the bag wont retalliate, shouldn't you be more concerned on playing the game.

I'd run onto the ground too after some of the violence which has been reported from the clubs in the port area. It's only so long before someone gets seriously hurt by a "champion" boxer.

Learn how to win gracefully and you'll get more respect. Arrogance worked for Pt Magpies because they won premierships, not because they were an also ran div 4 club.

gang up shrek????

you would run on and nothign would happen to your club either
other thing was the 'champion boxer' or player was hit first by one of you blokes
so really his old man should run on for him??
no, he lets his son handle like a man and look after himself!!

I don't really believe your version of events and I'm guessing there was more to it than that. Maybe your club should suspend violent players then people wouldn't feel the need to run onto the ground to protect people.

u dont need to believe my series of events
i knwo they happened
players dont get violent unless someone does something to iratate or anger them
for example punching them which is what number five did to our player on the weekend!!!

Shrek, get some facts right before you start mouthing off !

If you bothered to look you would see that the guys on here are from several different clubs, so im not sure what you are on about when you say 'mileage' :?

No Portland player threw any punches, regardless spectators cannot run on and get involved - end of story.

If you bothered to go back and read the previous posts, you would know all this. Get back to the D3 thread and pump up the tyres of your own 'also ran' D3 club, who have done nothing for a long time except try and throw cash at several of our players who laughed considerably.

As if we'd want any of your players. Maybe we'd throw coins at them for amusement, or throw a dollar or two their way when they are begging. We don't pay our C graders Felch, so we certainly wouldn't be recruiting from Poor(in talent)land.

I'm assuming that Portland have lodged an investigation if it was such an issue, I'd be asking questions if they haven't and wonder why you're all carrying on so much if the club isn't prepared to take any action.

If they have, I can highly suggest to the Portland boys to zip their lips until the investigation is over and stop taking the bait.

I don't know the precedence of fining clubs or suspending players who run on to the ground to enter into fights etc..

Who cares who started it. There is no room in the game for "Spectators" to be running on the field to protect a player, be it a son or whatever relation. Football is an agressive game, tempers flair things happen. If my old man ran onto the field to help me out in a scuffle whether I started it or not, i would feel that embarrassed I would hang my boots up and that would be that. If this is allowed to go on unpunished the league is setting a very dangerous precedent where anyone can run onto the playing arena be it for what ever reason and it wont be long before the amatuer is on the front page of the Sunday Mail with headlines such as "UGLY MELEE IN AMATUER FOOTY"

like i said chicky i dont believe the way these guys are explaining it is totally truthfull. i believe if a investigation was brought forward poorland would be on the recieving end of some penalties themselves. what would you do as a father if a boxer was beating up your son nuff said? seriously i believe anyone in this situation would react the same.

Whoops on your behalf! You do sound very indulged and college prepared! As for your boys hitting bags hard, we at the Port mean punching bags, not paper bags from david jones undies section.

i doubt u could afford punching bags in port adelaide, dont you mean punching the cell walls

It's weird how people think how the port has such a low socio economic community!!! Half you PAC wankers would kill to have property down our way

properties or dumplands? i hear pelican point is very spacious these days.

No, we arent lodging any complaint FC. No point, the bloke who run on ran off just as quick (if not quicker!!!) and there was no real damage done. In fact, the guy was very apologetic. I just thought it was interesting, thats why i mentioned it.

Sandman was quick to point out things we had done wrong, i was just returning the favour

By the way, there is only 2 Portland guys on here, as far as i know - myself and Fisty.

What part i said is not truthful ? Once again, back up your claims with facts !

No-one was getting 'beaten up' by anyone - it was a scuffle, both lads were wrestling with each other. I just made the point that if you are going to swing a cheap shot at someone, then probably not a good idea to do it at a boxer ! Our bloke in question is no thug, i can assure you. Is a very fair player, and good lad. Does not think he is tough at all, which in my eyes, makes him very tough.

It seems funny to me that you take offence to the stereo-type of 'soft' college teams, and then defend yourself by using stereo-type terms yourself ! :? :? :?

you say we are soft because we dont like to fight or play dirty. you think being hard is getting a boxer to play and belt opponents. i wouldnt be suprised if that was his first game of footy ever.
