North Haven's foot skills were very good once out in the open and with a few extra numbers they were able to run out the game a bit better than us. There was a lot of pressure applied all day long by both teams in what was a good contest. In the end Haven won by about 6 goals. Played in very good spirits. Wish Haven all the best for the coming season.
Yes thank you to Trinity for the 2 games yesterday, another very decent hitout for us I thought heading into Glenunga at Glenunga round 1, very much looking forward to that in two weeks time.
As for yesterday, as a team made up of mostly B graders, most of which I feel will in our best 21 and a few C graders we were very poor in the first game after a soild effort last week aginst Plympton in the first 3 quarters. we started and finished off really well but inbetween that Trinity made us look silly, the skill level of both sides was pretty much on par I thought, but their smarter running and our unaccountibilty being poor were the main differnaces between the two sides and is something that we must work on along with being cleaner with out hands, which let us down badly.
The second game was the big positive for us, with the team being most of the starting A graders plus a few blokes, including myself to play in the first game who were given an bit more of a run, it looked like Trinity did the same. It was a very solid performance by us and the brand of footy we played yesterday, I think will see us win many games of football this season if we can keep it up. The intensity and the want to be first to the footy was excellent and the pressure we put on Trinity when we didn't have the footy was very good to. Our foot skills as TOSSER pointed out were very good, aswell as our run and carry. The delivery to our forward like last week was spot on and it just goes to show that if we can get it right week in week out, with the powerful forward line we have we can become a real force. Scott Morris makes a hell of a differance to our side and he was very good vesterday, very good around the footy and gives us some good direction. Chris Lip was good down back too.
Roseworthy oval was a good venue and was in beautiful nick, hopefully if we go back there everybody can remember the way there, as it caused a few problems yesterday.

I'm led to believe it's an unused surface? Is there any footy played at the ground?
