a powerful last quarter display from us boys. comin home with the breeze we knew we were still gonna win despite being 4 goals down. got outplayed in the 3rd quarter, but controlled the rest of the game.
usually its us who are up at 3/4 time and losing the match :)
a great team effort though.

A few outs from the Gepps side yesterday.. No mullet, No Chris Mclean either.. 2 massive contributers to the midfield of that side from games I have seen this year. Noted that Duane Schultz back in the Gepps side yesterday too, how long is he back for??

(and this is a serious question)

Did the Falcons wear black arm bands yesterday?

I sure hope they did - for the passing of the best dog and team mascot ever.

RIP Nudge Jolly :(

Yes  Its always free drinks at PNU. All you need to do is draw up your own drink card, go to the bar, ask for Nipper, hold the card up and ask him for your free drinks. He is sure to punch the card. :D

So can we say it was a "wasted opportunity" to gain ground on a couple of teams above Gepps and maybe making it to the final five given the results of a couple of other games?

Probably got squeezed out with Burton, Knights & Treeby back from injury and may get a recall back for this week since 2 of them were hurt again. Have to ask yourself why you would bother?

A good reward for a group that has stayed committed to the cause.
Hindsight would reveal that the 1st quarter is where the damage was done when Gepps kicked 2-3 to 1-2 with a 4-5 goal breeze. Although i'd like to think a particular last quarter mark had something to do with the result

I would hope the Gepps Cross players are shown pages 3 & 4 of this weeks SAAFL news titled "Unlucky for some Round 13" and have it in BOLD how last weeks loss and this weeks game may impact on the seasons end as relegation is now still a possibility. From Red Tulip chocolates one week to boiled lollies the next, 3 of the losses at home have hurt them badly and the gravity of the situation may not be known until round 18.
I reckon at the start of the season, a few thought Gepps would play finals, I know I did and if you look at the poll at the top they ranked third but are miles away from the third best in the grade.. .
Might be a nervous wait for a few people.
